this is beyond ridiculous, but since i had to write poetry for chemistry (yea i don't get it either) and i don't inderstand, much less like chemistry, here's a failed attempt i'm going to turn in!

The lonely valence electron
Sit’s all alone
He is sad and lonesome
He wishes for a friend
His element fears for him
And thus is very violent (reactive)
Sodium can be very painful
The electron fears for himself too
The element could hurt him
Or possibly endanger
Possible friends
But today another lemnent
Friendly old magnesium
Has dropped by for a visit
Mg is much nicer
He wants to accept
This poor lonely electron,
His valences are lonesome too
So the poor lonely electron is no more
He has friends now, and
Is quite happy there with Mg

Poor vlance electron
He is lonely again
He wishes for even more friends
And more and more and more!
And so he jumps,
and he jumps and he jumps
til he can’t jump again
and he finds that he’s hopped
from Al to Si
and from Si to P
and from P to S,
and from S to Cl!
But that is not all,
He’s gone even further,
He’s jumped all the way
Into….a noble gas!
Life couldn’t get much btter
And so the story must end,
Our dear, but lonely friend
He is happy once more,
He’s made some new friends,

What can go wrong?
For now he is glowing
And full of light
But uh-oh trouble’s near
For Argon you see
Tis peaceful indeed
When cold is abound,
‘cause heat makes it unstable
so ‘tis almost as frearsome as
old element Sodium
but the life of sodium
twas much more exciting
not so much here with
boring old argon,
argon never does much
besides basic research
sodium has jobs,
and cool partners sometimes (compounds)
this valence elctron had made a few friends
when he became not just
sodiums elctron,
but was shared with another
maybe it twas better
lonely but exciting
but that’s not for me to say
you’ll just have to ask
the valence electron what he thinks youself
