^_^ have a nice day
A Strange Apperance
Just another school day, just another walk, just another normal me. Just another time of going along with no one really noticing I was missing something. I know I’m always cheery, but once and a while, I get this feeling that I need something else. My name’s Alexa Rice, and right now, I’m going through what you could call an awkward phase. I can’t really explain it, but I could just sit there and wonder all night about it. Anytime I feel that way, I usually dig through my drawer of random pictures I take, and remember all that has happened in my life, and can’t help but smile. Yet, last night when I got that feeling again, I went to pick up my pictures, and my hand just froze. I can’t explain that either, and I wish I could.

But that feeling I get is never a hostile one. It always makes me warm and comfortable inside. What with my mom and dad living in different places, it kinda gets weird seeing your dad during the school year, and then in summer, go with your mom and step dad. I never get to spend quality time with my dad since he’s always working. But I can count on one thing to always help, is to know that anytime I get the chance to experience some kinda joy in my life, I’ll always be able to capture the stillness in a photo. Then again, things don’t usually always stay the same forever, now do they?

While I was walking to school, I saw people pointing on my way there. I turned to see what happened, and then it happened again. I saw a man around my age, that was speeding off into the direction of a canyon and I got that feeling again. I sat there staring, drool hanging out of my mouth, when it hit me. I should take a picture. I reached down to grab my trusty camera… and it wasn’t there. I freaked! Now I’ll never have a picture of that glorious moment!!!!! My dad emerged from the house.
“You forgot your… oh I see you’ve noticed. I found it on your bed; you must have forgotten it.”
“Ah, it’s too late now, but thanks anyway dad.” I sighed, and then I knew what I must do.

I must find that boy again!

Later that week, I was outside and heard a large explosion not too far away. I ran to go see what happened, only to see two machines swinging at that boy again. Every attack they missed, and every miss he smirked. The machines resorted to double teaming him, and he still ducked, or jumped out of the way with ease. Then he pulled the sword from its sheath, and that’s when I reached for my camera. Luckily I had it this time. The perfect picture. His purple hair swirling, his arm in the position of death, and his sword glowed in the sunlight with the sheer power to level an entire town. With the setting and background perfect, I was about to snap the picture, but I dropped it when I heard his voice.
“You two aren’t worth it. I have better things to do than play with you soup cans.”

He lowered his sword. They backed away slowly thinking he wouldn’t notice.

“Hey, you forgot something!” He picked one of the rocks lying around and threw it at them, lodging it into one of them. They ran away terrified.

He had the voice of an angel. One truly sent from above. He watched them run off, and then laughed. He was about to leave, when I caught his attention. He looked at me and smiled. He turned to go, when I stopped him.

“Please sir, may I at least know your name before you go back where you came from?”

“Yes, but I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. My name is…”

My heart shook with anticipation at his name. I was waiting for Michael or Gabriel, but he said something else. And then I heard it and my mind locked onto that one word.

“Trunks. My name is Trunks”

“Trunks,” I said to him “what a nice name.”

It took everything I had just to stay conscience. I mean really. Here I am, just a random civilian, and here is this god standing here talking with me. My heart was now about to jump out of my chest, until he grabbed my hand. Then I swear it busted inside of me.

“Really? Now, if it’s as good as you say it is, then what is yours, so I can compare the two.”

“M…m…my na… name? My na… name is Alexis.”

“That is a very beautiful name. You should be glad for your name.

“Ummmm…” I stammered just trying to stay calm. “may I take your picture before you go?”

“What for?”

“Well, ever since I was a child, my mom bought me this camera and anytime something wonderful happens, I snap a picture, and keep it in my drawer.”

“I see then. Well then, “CHEESE! HAHAHA!!!”

I took the picture and he headed back into town. As soon as it developed, I looked at it, trying to convince myself that it wasn’t all a dream.

“So, his name is Trunks huh?”

A few weeks later, he said that he was leaving for his own planet and time. He said he needed medicine for his friend. If he didn’t get this medicine to him, he would die. I begged him not to go, but he just didn’t listen. He took off and I ran after him. I finally caught up to him right as he was about to step into the teleporter. I jumped at him and grabbed onto his arm.

“No I won’t let you leave!”

“But I need to go. For the sake of…”

“Anytime something good happens to me, it soon goes away. That’s part of the reason my mom got this camera for me. It’s like no one cares about what happens to my feelings, I’m just… just… here. All that goes away and the feelings I had with that go away too. I won’t let you go away like all the others.” By now tears are pouring down my face, and strangely enough, his too. “I can’t stand to see something good come and go so quickly like that. It’s just not fair. It’s just not fair!”

“I know what you mean by that. How everything you once loved and held onto has been torn to shreds, and all you can do is just sit there helplessly and watch, right?”

“Y… Yeah, but my friends are always there to cheer me up.”

“So you must have major mood swings huh?” He said mockingly. My grip on him tightened.

My tone was now raised so that I was yelling at him. “No it’s not like that! My friends are always there to help me get by! Even if they don’t exactly know what helps, they always try their best. That is a true friend. And even if what they say doesn’t help, then that thought does!”

“Well it’s nice to know that you have such great friends. I’m sorry we can’t be friends, but I hope you’ll remember me by this.”

And then he bent down and he kissed me on the cheek. Tears began to pour down my face, and neither of us knew why. Why do good things always have to end I asked myself. Apparently I spoke it louder than I thought, because he answered me.

“Because if good things never came to an end, than they would be considered normal. Then we wouldn’t have any appreciation for them.” And with that, he stepped into his time machine, smiled and was gone. That was one of the few things that I will never, ever forget.

Strangely enough, that feeling stayed. And every time at night when I got that strange little occurrence, an image of him flashed through my mind, and I slept easy. He’s somewhere out there, and one day, when I have a little bit more free time from my studies, I’ll find him. And then I’ll have more than just pictures to lift me up, when I get that funny little feeling. I’ll find him alright. Even if it cost me my life...
