"Moonlit Dreams"
A dream, yet not a dream...

----------

She is dying. The one who is the most important person to my heart, the one I truly love with everything I am, the one who doesn't know how I feel about her, is slowly dying. I hold her hand up to my heart and promise her that no matter what happens, that no matter what is in front of my path, I will never give up. I will find a way to cure her. I look into her eyes. I promise her. I will save you... because I love you. More than anything. I traverse through every city possible, I climb every mountain's peak, search out every miracle cure in this world, yet find nothing that can help her. She waits, each breath drawing her closer to an end, and though I have done much, I hold nothing that may bring her relief. I promised. The smallest glimmer of hope remains. A rumor of an herb that can cure any wound, heal any sickness, relieve any suffering. For her, I will chase this remedy down to the ends of the Earth. It is the last hope I have. The last hope she has. I won't let her go. In an ancient forest, far removed from the world, I find it. A beautiful blood-red flower. My hope. Her salvation. But it cannot survive long. Not without constant nourishment. Yet there is a way. Blood. It can survive through blood. I won't let you go! I cut my wrist. Pour my life unto the beautiful flower. Getting weaker, fear that I won't make it creeps into my thoughts. But that doesn't matter. Nothing matters. Only her. I will save you! I promised! Eyesight is fading. Breathing slows. But it doesn't matter. I'm close now. There she is. So beautiful. Nothing can compare. So weak. I take a rock and crush the flower. I give her the last hope I have. The last hope she has. I give her my life to save hers. Slowly, she breathes easier. Steadier. Stronger. I hold her hand and feel warmth returning. Her eyes open. Beautiful eyes. More precious than anything that ever is, was, or ever will be. She looks at me. She smiles. Then she looks behind me. There is a man. Hidden in the shadows of leaves. She goes to him. Hugs him. And looks at me. "Thank you." A voice that even angels envy. Yet those eyes. The sadness they hold can make the dead cry out in tears. She turns away from me and walks away. With him. Hand in hand. With me watching. "Goodbye." Tears falling. Can't keep my eyes open anymore. This is it. Goodbye...

That was a really sad story, I felt that way about someone once. I thought she was great, but then she was just a lie. She went off with a player, and I stood their one whole semester full of envy. But now I'm all better now, done with the past, in with the new. ^^

this was a really good story. i loved the entire tone of it and the ending... wonderful. tragic but i believe instead of feeling more towards sorrow he should've stayed happy, knowing that she will live happy as he intended... even if he's not around for it
