Letter
So the other day. I got this letter: (I am blocking information I haven't told you guys and won't)

Dear Parens of Jessica ******:

Jesica is invited to travel and study in Japan in the summer of 2009. Join high school students from the ********* Washington area who are eligible for People to People, an educational exploration program founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. All students must be invted annually, so we are pleased to offer Jessica this one-time-only opportunity to travel on a 2009 program.

Jessica can experience 14 days of rewarding activities and meet the people of Japan, all while earning high school or university credit. Your local delegation will represent the United States overseas, experience new cultures, and make lifelong frends. Jessica will advance as a young leader through special access and focused excursions and will gain:

~Confidence and leadership -- Explore the Peace Pagoda in Tokyo and climb halfway up dramatic Mount Fuji, the spiritual symbol for Japan.
~Cultural understanding -- Learn the art of the Japanese language and journey to an island sacred to the Shinto religion.
~World awareness -- Gain a deeper perspective of history as you visit Hiroshima's famous Peace Park, a memorial to World War II.
~Friendships and memories -- Stay with a warm, welcoming local family, meet Japanese students at school, and take unforgettabl pictures with your fellow delegates.

Attend your local information meeting in mid-November to meet students who traveld last smmer and have your questions by local educators involved in the program. To reserve your spot at the meeting, go to our website at www.studentambassadors.org/reserve and use the PIN below before October 22. While online, you will learn more about your local chaprones, rea tetimonials from alumni and their families and see detailed program itineraries. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

Sincerely,
Jeff R. Guthrie
Senior Admissions Advisor
