I feel the steel blade against my skin

I can't help but push it in

I see my blood pulse from my vain

I stand alone and feel the pain

My heart aches for something more

The one thing that I adore

I've made mistakes that I regret

With the best people that I've ever met

I'll die forgotten in the fire

Wishing to find my hearts' desire

I fight with passion and burning rage

Though I still feel locked within a cage

I wish to scream into the air

Shouting loudly without a care

For this thing eludes me so
