Chapter 2: Ambush
Twilight gingerly placed her whip down, and turned to X and Psicosis. "Well, if Hybird said it, then it must be true."
X rolled his eyes. "Komodo s**t! The day I trust that ninja is the day I-" X stopped short when he saw the look in Twilight's eye. "Sorry."
Psicosis stretched his arms a bit. "I can understand why you're getting so mad, he has been through allot, but you gotta admit, he's a arrogant p***k. He may be on to something, but c'mon, doesn't it seem a tad bit questionable?"
Twilight shrugged. "He seems pretty sure about this. Besides, like he said, the Hurricane Clan is a branch of the Kaze-Kage Clan. So he should know this stuff."
Ryuu shook his head. "Be that as it may, I still don't trust him. This is the same guy who refuse to join us, which left his clan pretty damn open for an attack!" Ryuu suddenly stood up and headed for the door. "If you want to trust him, that's your decision, but I'm not going to trust him." Ryuu left the room, slamming the door behind him.
Psicosis looked the door for a minute before looking at the others. "Jeez, the hell crawled up that elf's a**?"

Ryuu walked into the forest near their current base, figuring the night's air would calm him. For some reason, the fact that Twilight wanted to trust Hybird bugged him. Ryuu guessed it was because Hybird refused to trust his clan under the alliance's protection. If he did in fact trust his clan with the alliance, the incident would have never happened. But he gets the feeling it may be for a different reason. Hybird's attitude towards people was nothing short of... Cold hearted... To say the least. He often ignore people when they are talking to him, and his tone of voice always seems rude. "Could it really be that? No... When have I ever misjudged anybody? Never!"
Ryuu stopped and leaned on a tree. Trying to clear his mind of his troubles. "I have to keep alert on the task before hand... So many lives are depending on it..." Ryuu closed his eyes and sighed. As he stood there, making an attempt to clear his mind, his ears picked up something coming his way. His eyes snapped to attention, and he pushed himself off of the tree, and into a defensive position. He knew for a fact it wasn't anybody allied to him, because he banned everybody from going out due to the recent events. It was a sneak attack by the enemy. "s**t..."
Ryuu slowly moved his hand to his side, to see if any of his weapons were with him. Yet he found only his Kunai in his pocket. "You gotta be shiting me! Of all the times I decide to leave my weapons!"
The Shadow Elf's ears twitched, alerting him that somebody was coming towards him from his right. Ryuu hoped back, and twisted just enough to face his would be attacker. As he turned, he pulled his Kunai out and hurled it pas his enemy. He skillfully pulled his arm back, and forced the chain attached to the knife to twist and wrap around the attacker. As the attacker fell to the dirt, Ryuu grabbed the dagger, and stabbed it into the attacker's throat before quickly unwrapping the chain. Another person attempted to attack him from behind while he was unwrapping the chain. Ryuu tossed the blade right into the attacker's throat before yanking it out. Ryuu twisted around while holding the chain, the blade swung out and slice two more attackers in their throats. Ryuu abruptly stopped and lifted his arms, holding the chain in each hand. An sword clashed with the chain in between Ryuu's hands, causing sparks to fly. Ryuu put his arms into an x, wrapping the chain around the sword. Ryuu then tripped the attacker to the ground, uncrossing hi arms and letting the sword slip out of the man's hands, and land on his skull, blade tip first. Ryuu then hurled the Kunai out and wrapped it around another man's throat as the blade stabbed into another man's skull. The elf kicked the chain, causing it to snap the other man's throat before unwrapping and returning to his hand.
Ryuu decided to run a small distance before leaning against another tree. His breath was shallow from all the fighting, and his eyes snapped around, scattering to see if anybody else was coming for him. The elven warrior suddenly snapped to attention as something screeched and leaped out of the grass, headed straight for Ryuu's throat. Ryuu leaned back and swung his fist, knocking what ever it was back into the grass. Ryuu pulled himself away from the tree and slowly walked over to the spot where the creature landed thinking it may have been a frightened rodent, looking for safety with the Shadow Elf. But instead of seeing a squirrel, or a kangaroo mouse, he saw a black, over sized rat with glowing green eyes. "What in hell is tha-"
The creature suddenly began to melt, and was soaked up into the dirt. "Oooohkay,,," Ryuu's ears twitched again, telling him to turn around. As he did so, he noticed thousands of glowing greens eye, glaring right at him. "... ********..."

Hybird laid in his bed, his right leg laying on his propped up left knee. His right foot twitched as he desperately tried to clear away his troubles. Sadly, without his six hundred dollar CD player, it was hard to do so. The ninja turned to his side and gave a long sigh. 'For crying out loud,' Hybird thought to himself, 'why can't I relax?' Hybird turned over to his other side, becoming even more annoyed. He did so until the point that he forced himself up. "******** hell!" Hybird rolled out of bed and headed for the door. As he walked out he bumped into somebody and lost his balance. "Just my luck."
"Do you talk this much when no body's around?"
Hybird's eyes shifted up to see an hand holding out for him. The ninja's eyes follow the arm up to the black and grey sleeveless shirt the shirt's collar was large, and looked as if somebody cut off the bottom half of a large funnel, and used the top half to hold the collar up. The black Zorro-ish mask with the white mesh eyes told Hybird it could be but only one person.
"Sorry Psicosis, I didn't see you there..."
"How could you when the door was blocking your site?"
