Ok so yesterday I went onto Quizilla to read some awesome vampire stories. The last time I had been on Quizilla was in Spring of 2007. They had awesome stories and I yesterday I thought Quizilla would cure my boredom. So I go onto Quizilla and search for vampire stories (I'm a vampire fan and I enjoy the plotlines. If you don't like it, get over it. ). So I got a HUGE list of vampire stories. I clicked on a random one and started reading.
The first thing that popped out at me was that the main character has this emo background. Her mother is dead, her father is a jerk, and she has guys trying to hurt her at school. I was not happy with this, but I continued reading to see how this girl would end up meeting the vampire. To my dissapointment, she met the vampire through the typical i-walked-down-a-dark-alley-and-got-jumped.
By that time, I had had enough of this story and went back to the story search list. This time, I specified the stories to be top rated in all of Quizilla. I took the highest rated one and started reading. Once again, the main character was emo and had a sob story to scream out to the world before being lamely swept off her feet in a dark alley by a vampire. I couldn't believe it. The highest rated vampire story in Quizilla wasn't any better than the one that wasn't rated at all. I was like, "WTF HAPPENED TO ALL THE FREAKING GOOD WRITERS?!" The plots are terrible, typical, and uncreative. And the majority of the authors couldn't bother spell checking their work before posting it! I was so ticked and I thought to myself, "Quizilla needs a better vampire story than these." So, I reopened my account and decided to make my own vampire story. Hopefully, this will put all those other vampire stories in the dust and give starving readers a REAL story to read.
