Fairy tale love
As I happened along on this fine sunny day
I stopped to catch a bus
To take me on my way
And what did I see
As I stood there?
A lovely young lady
Seated on the bench there
A conversation evolved
And bus companions, we became from there
Her travelling to a fancy dinner
I, heading for home
On our journey, we talked some more
She worried that her attire may not do
I sat back and admired
And what did I see
A beautiful young woman
Dressed with class, and care-free
Such a sight to admire
I hope I did not stare
She caught my eye
It's just not fair
Is it too soon?
A dwelling fear haunts me
Like a nightmare
Falling again, all too soon
Only to have happiness short-lived
Once again
Only time and fate know
As they write their tales of destiny
And watch the tales unfold
Somehow, somewhere
There is a happy ending
Just like a fairy tale
