Within the Mind of Shadows.
It has A short story <.,<
My Short Story.
Inspiration~ My avatar without sword or bird or vial.
A small movement in the corner of the room, tendril like vines of a bulging green colored object implanting themselves slowly into the blood splattered corner.
The Venus fly-trap like head, slowly opening to reveal a slimy green interior before multiple crimson shaded eyes open across the form of the creature. The torrent of vines cascading up the walls, some sinking in and creating cracks, even as more eyes sprout from the surface of it's almost scaly plant like skin. Droplets of blood, slowly dripping form the gaping mouth of the fly-trap head, and onto the body itself, as the entire thing writhes in some sort of wicked glee. A single body laying headless at it's taloned feet, while it's clawed hands dig into the flesh, slowly devouring the warm meats of the cadaver's torso. The fly-trap head snapping closed in a sense of half chewing, half swallowing the rapidly vanishing flesh, as the crimson shaded eyes blink open and closed through out the body. The same vines slowly inching out, to secure a new meal, when this one was simply bloody bones, which could be within the hour. Shifting for a better position over the feast before it, the mutated plant like predator releases a screeching sound of a high-pitched, almost soundless frequency. Causing the panes of nearby windows to crack, and soon shatter in a downpour of raining glass across the ground inside and out.

Upon hearing the screeching sound, a near by pedestrian, who happened to glance into the dark and desolate alley of which this almost demonic creatures resides, releases a scream of pure terror, as they quickly scamper backwards and attempt to get away. Though too late, the cascade of thorny crimson eye covered vines wrap around the pedestrian, ripping them in two with a tug from two different angles. The dying screams still echoing through the desolate alley as the vines pulls the new meal back into the shadowed corner of which the true predator resides. With screams alerting nearby authorities, gun-wielding humans, numbering two. In the normal police issued attire, charge in and look about the situation, one stepping directly onto a similar plant structure to that of the predator's head, as the Venus fly-trap closes on the male's foot. Cutting it from the leg instantly, and causing the cop to drop to the ground, as more vines stir in the shadows and engulf the cop with more fearful screams to be ensued throughout the area. The remaining cop, instantly as his partner went down, calls his H.Q. for a medic, though with being halfway through the plea for help, he as well is cast into the deathly creature's sharply thorned vines, which first remove his arms, then legs, and finally his head clear from his shoulders. Dragging the pieces across the ground back to the far corner, and leaving the trails of fresh wet blood across the alley floor. The predator swiftly devouring one meal after another, growing in strength with each bite, and soon taking a more canine like appearance. The fly-trap head simply biting down and devouring the flesh, instead of waiting for a clawed hand to cut and hand the flesh to the greedy mouth.

As sirens are heard in the distance, the creature issues more vines to cover the walls and floor of the alley, to await it's new meals arrival. Minutes later the patrol cars arrive, skidding to a halt outside the alley and leaping from the cars to aim the assorted firearms down the length of the alley. Vines emerge from the back and lash out, flipping the nearest car into it's former occupants, and leaving them crushed beneath the monstrous weight which was too much for their human bodies to hold up. They released short screams of pain and terror, before either being fully crushed by a slam of the same vines, which added more weight to the car, in order to strike out at the cops beyond, or some from the rapped extent of blood-loss. As the first cops go down, the remaining rapidly dying themselves, they call for SWAT reinforcements. Within fifteen minutes of the call, two SWAT vans pull up, their occupants leaping out and surveying the disaster before them, all the dead missing, the wounded being eaten by small versions of the larger fly-trap head of the beast within the alley. The SWAT all grab shields and slowly advance, when the vines do not attempt to strike out at their arrival. As they advance deeper into the alley, some gasp at the gross sight of the monstrous beast within, before vines from the walls and ground, first rip the shields away, using the SWAT shields as shields for the initial body of the predator, while other vines rip the SWAT teams to shreds. Leaving on guy, ripped in half and desperately calling for help, before losing his own head. With the accumulation of this much of a feast, the creature had grown over four times it's size, and still rapidly expanding, the entire back alley covered in it's form, as vines begin to pick off human bystanders one by one, only adding in it's total growth.

About two hours later, when the army arrived, the entire city was cast into a living sea of writhing vines and carnivorous fly-trap heads. Simply at the sight alone, a bomb strike was issued by the officials, and only minutes later, five planes flew over head, to drop a series of napalm and other explosives onto the former city. Though, only one managed to be dropped, at the initial attack point, the vines attacked, wrapping around planes and killing the occupants with one crushing grip, leaving only one plan fast enough to drop it's explosive round, though soon crushed as well. The explosion did little more then shift the vines, as they either regrew or recovered the effected area. With nothing helping, more planes were sent, this time with a nuclear warhead. And with the luck of the pilot's quick maneuvering, managed to drop the bomb square in the center of the city, leaving the place to ruins. Though the original source of the disaster, was never know to have been completely destroyed. Though suited in HAZ-MAT suites, they never found even a trace of the predator remaining, and presumed it dead. Though hours after they left, something stirred beneath the rubble of the alleyway. . .
To Be Continued. . . ?
