Candles were everywhere.I stepped into the room with caution.As soon as i stepped into the middle of the room the door slammed behind me. I jumped, screamed, and swirled around to stare at two violet blue eyes.Jamal starred straight back at me.I gulped and looked around for a way to run and escape. Unfortunatly the only exit was behind him.He held my gaze as he angled much closer to me.Fear rose in my gut.
"Cleo," he whispered.I took a step back as he came forward.I measured the distance between me and the door.If I could only dodge around him.But I wasn't fast enough.I knew that and so did he.I knew it yet I ran anyway.He caught me around the waist and yanked me forward.I landed on the couch with his body entrapping me.In his arms again.The last place I wanted to be.The very place I'd swoar never to return again.
"I'm sorry, Cleo," he said in my ear.His voice was husky and guttural.I choked back a scream.I held back a sob.But in that moment I did forgive him.I forgave him for everything.It just seemed so foolish when he held me that way.
