Girl Scout Drama
Yes, there's drama in Girl Scouts. It's hard to explain. One of the adults just brings up a lot of drama. She ran Day Camp 3 years ago when we were all earning our Program Aide (PA) badges. One of my friends didn't get it because this adult felt she didn't deserve it, despite how much work she did.

This adult is at Day Camp again this year (we've been planning it since last year) and she's bringing up drama. One of her best friends is the leader of the group my friend is in as the PA. The leader asked her about what happened 3 years ago, so my friend just told her that that adult didn't give her the PA patch. And that's the truth. She didn't say why and she didn't go into detail. And she didn't know that her leader was best friends with the immature woman. They then started gossiping among themselves and twisting words around.

That adult told our leader (one of the co-directors of camp) that our friend had better apologize to her or else she'd call her mom.

Well, our friend is 18 and shouldn't be treated like a little kid. She also shouldn't be forced to apologize for something she didn't say. I told her not to bother with it and not to confront her. So, as a result the woman will end up calling her mom tomorrow night and nothing will be accomplished from that.

I swear. So many adults act like children. It's ridiculous. These adults act like middle school girls and immature teens.

Her son is in my group since I've got the youngest kids. He's five years old and he really doesn't listen to anyone because he's not disciplined at home. His older sisters get his mother's wrath and he's exempt from it for some unknown reason. He throws a fit whenever we tell him he's not allowed to do something or to stay by us. We only got him to behave when he threatened to take away his pool privileges and I hate doing that because I always thought it was unfair when my parents threatened me with things like that. If they'd just cooperate, we wouldn't have to do it.

Blegh.

And I'm singing along to "A Little Piece of Heaven" because it's just too awesome.
