Glance
You see the light in the clouds,
the love in the hate,
the birds in the sky,
the white through the black,
but you can't see what I mean. My avatar holds most keys.
You know why the light shines,
why love always wins,
why the birds soar,
and why differences are there,
but you don't understand fully. You are smart, but if you only knew.
I don't ask for eternity,
just a little of your time,
give me five minutes,
and I don't have to be your life,
just a little pinpoint on your map. All time is precious.
I don't ask for much,
just a smile or a glance,
give me a letter,
and I don't have to own you,
just for you to be in my heart. And you were always there.
See what lies beyond,
the truth is farther than the eye,
know what is to be known,
knowledge comes by feeling,
but beware of total truth. Because I learned that the truth hurts.
