So Alex and Ryan like movies with dead stuff in them. We watched all of the old Indiana Jones movies, and they're rabid about them. Ryan even wrote a song about The Temple of Doom. Alex asks one night for a scary movie, so I suggest Jaws. It's my favorite movie of all time. We can watch it as many times as they like. On maybe the third viewing, Norris shut the movie off in the middle for bedtime. Alex starts crying and getting very upset about it. When we asked what was the matter she replied, "I wanted to see the part where the guy gets eaten and spits out blood! *sniffle hic*"
We were so impressed, we put the movie back on and advanced it to that part. But was that enough carnage for those children...... nay, I say. The next movie they got stuck on was Poltergeist. Not the sweet little version that's edited for TV, the children want all the blood and guts they can get. Ryan proclaimed to me one day, "I'm tired of the man ripping his face off in "Poker-dice", I want to watch something really scary."
Alright! Alright! You want it?........... The Grudge!
That movie ******** me up totally. I had nightmares for months on end, and I never forgave the person who made me watch it. I mean, the dead Japanese lady was IN THE BED WITH HER!!!! That crossed a sacred line with me. I hate that movie.
The children thought it was boring/funny.
Future serial killers.
They woke me up the next morning making the "UUUUUUHHHHH" noise.
