It was said to be created by the gods and guarded for centuries. On a large stone tablet behind it it is said that one hero will eliminate all the evil in this world with the sword. One story says that it was once broken by the guard and seperated and gathered by six evil creatures. The gods were angered at the guard of the sword, but still needed the temple of the sword to be guarded, the gods then made the guard carry a large stone that was the largest mountain on this planet. If the guard was ever attacked the stone would be removed and would be re-equiped to the guard after he was done eliminating the opponent. The gods had to gather and eliminate the creatures who stoal the pieces of the sword. Having no ability to destroy demons on the planet as immortals they had to come as humans. It took 6 years to gather all the pieces of the sword, a year for each piece. The sword was then returned to it's normal form and locked up in the temple. The gods then made a maze full of traps and puzzles to protect it.....even from it's guard. The stone that was bound to the guard got smaller and strapped to the first son of the guard after he passed away. The son would then become the guard and be forced to live in the temple. If the guard would happen to be defeated and have no relatives the gods would choose a man suited to guard the sword and the duty would be passed down the family of the original guard.
"Bieng forced to guard this-this Abomination of a weapon! Why have you forsaken me gods!?"
