Naruto Story
A/N: so then, we left off at an intro, which is always boring! We left off With Mexia training alone, and Onaji and Xan on their way. What happens when they arrive?

Onaji and Xan burst through the clearing in the forest, eyes closed and running madly. Somewhere along the way, their rushing had turned into a downright race, and neither wanted to lose. When they were about 10 feet away, then opened their eyes.

“MEXIA, WATCH OU--” they both got out before crashing straight into Mexia. They landed in a dog pile and sent up a huge cloud of dirt and dust.

Mexia coughed. “It’s g-good to see you guys! But next time, could you try and not catapult into me at 50 miles an hour? Thanks.” she said weakly, now dizzy.

Xan and Onaji scrambled off of her as fast as they could, yelling, “ARE YOU OK?!” simultaneously.

“This is all your fault!” Xan accused coldly, poking a finger into Onaji’s chest.

“You’re the one who made it into a race! I only didn’t want Mexia waiting!” Onaji hmphed, crossing his arms.
Mexia got up and went over to them, not wanting a fight before they even started training. “Guys, guys,” she said exasperatedly, putting her hands up. “I’m ok, really. No big deal. I may have lost a life there, but it’s alright. Now if you’re still angry, you can take it out on me in a sparring match, ok?” This tactic usually worked. One would agree to spar, and their anger would dissipate.

Xan sighed angrily. “Fine.” He walked over to stand in front of Mexia. They each gave a quick bow before charging at each other. Onaji stood back, steaming, and watched. Xan swiped at Mexia with a kunai, aiming for her leg. She jumped back, barely dodging it. She kicked Xan in the chest, but he turned into a puff of smoke. ‘A shadow clone?’ she thought, surprised. As she thought this, Xan burst through the ground behind her, punching her in the jaw. He didn’t use his full strength as he didn’t want to hurt Mexia since he cared for her. Mexia flipped onto her back, sliding against the ground. She did shadow clone jutsu, conjuring up 2 helpers which grabbed her arms and helped her onto her feet. They threw her in the air, then hurled her at Xan. She grabbed a shuriken out from her back and began spinning it. This was her only specialty move, and was quite and obvious one at that. Xan looked up and dodged out of the way. The shuriken hit the ground, sending up a blinding twister of dirt. Mexia ran toward where she saw Xan last after landing and aimed a fist there. Xan caught her hand and twisted her to the ground. She let out an audible “eek!” but stayed quiet otherwise. Her breath was hard now, but Xan appeared to be fine, although he had a thin layer of sweat. She grinned, sky blue eyes hardening slightly. She pounced from the ground and aimed some kicks. He blocked them all out with his forearms, then aimed a kick at her knees. Mexia jumped, but wasn’t paying attention and one of Xan’s palms hit her in the chest (if you think perversely about this, I will kill you), sending her flying backward.

Onaji called it when Mexia didn’t get up: “Xan wins, Mexia loses.”
Xan walked over to Mexia, offering a hand up. “I know you were tired from training earlier than us most likely, but you did good. I do believe you’re getting better.” he smiled as she took his hand.

Mexia blushed a bit, flustered. “I hope you’re not just saying that to make me feel better…”

Onaji came over then, butting into the conversation. “Nah, Xan isn’t the lying type! You’re not a whole lot better, but it’s something! I bet you’ll be better than us in no time!”

Xan smacked the blonde on the head. “Don’t interrupt people Onaji-chan. And don’t be so rude-sounding when trying to give compliments, because you simply fail.” His green eyes pierced into Onaji’s headband, refusing to look at his eyes.

Mexia sighed. They were all very good friends, but to anyone else who looked on from afar, they looked like they didn’t get on well at all. She started to walk away to take a break while the other two could spar. She got about 5 feet before she gasped and fell to her knees in pain. ’Darnnit! Why must something always go wrong? How the heck did I get hurt?’

Onaji looked up from their bickering and ran over to Mexia to see what was wrong. “Mexia, Mexia, are you hurt?”

Mexia laughed weakly, trying to cover up her embarrassment. “Y-yeah, I’m fine, don’t worry!” she said, smiling. She got into a sitting position on the grass.

Onaji pulled Xan over to the side and poked him in the chest. “This is all your fault! You shouldn’t have pushed her so hard!” Onaji accused. He didn’t have many friends, so when something happened to one of them, he got very protective, even if it meant whaling on another friend.

Xan pushed him away. “She wouldn’t have wanted me to go easy on her! Besides. You heard her, she’s fine! It might not even be from the spar from all you know! Stop accusing people of things!” he spat, walking away and over to Mexia. Onaji just stood there, shocked at being stood up too.

“You can go train you know. I’ll be fine. I’ll just go home early, ok?” Mexia said as Xan walked over. “Really, I’m fine. It’s not that bad and I can fend for myself!” she lied about the severity. The fact was, it hurt like hell. She didn’t feel like she trained any harder than normal, but whatever. Her body was weird like that, refusing to work at times.

She got up and started hobbling away toward her apartment where she lived alone. Her parents had moved to Star village when she was born and left her behind since they hadn’t planned on having a child. She still had a very good life though, since she loved living alone and had enough friends. She talked to sensei a lot, along with Yondaime and the old Hokage. Also, when she had time, Tsunade would come in and teach her a bit of healing since she got hurt so much. Although her chakra control was bad, she still had enough ability to fix very minor things. She though Tsunade was very pretty. She was in her early 20s and she could usually be seen around Jiraiya or Orochimaru. Lately though, they’d all been on a mission to rain country. The word was that they would come back soon, but Jiraiya would stay behind to stay with some kid named Nagato and two others, teaching them stuff. It sort of reminded her of sensei, who always took time out to take care of her and train her. Sensei was like a real mom to her. She thought of this as she walked painfully home, passing no one she knew along the way. She hoped she’d see Rin, Kakashi, and Obito on the way back so she could chat with Yondaime and Obito, but they were no where to be seen. She didn’t see Anko or Shizune anywhere either. They were probably all sleeping in still…

Xan and Onaji stayed to train, a bit reluctant when Mexia told them not to walk her home, they needed the practice. Well, the anger they had for each other got out, resulting in both of them getting scratched everywhere. But hey, they felt calmer, and stronger!

As Mexia was halfway home, she looked up at the sky. It was grey suddenly. ’Looks like rain…’ As if on cue, there was a thunder strike and it began down pouring. “Just my luck,” Mexia sighed, continuing onward. At least Onaji and Xan had trees as shelter! She had to walk through the whole town without so much as an umbrella! As she continued to walk ever so slowly home, she didn’t seem to notice that was no longer wet. Someone was holding an umbrella up for her!
