I got called in to work because two of the servers called out and there was a party coming with only one cook, two servers, and our shift supervisor/service leader/basically a manager too Amy. She was gone since the beginning of May because she went on a cruise with her boyfriend/future fiancé. Amy asked me to come in so I could keep an eye on the front if they got busy.

Well...they didn't. At all. xd So I got paid for pretty much doing nothing for 2 and a half hours. Then a server, our cook Mama, Amy, and I all sat around a table and looked through Amy's photos. She's sooo pretty and she and her boyfriend are so cute together. They had a bunch of professional photos and Amy complained about how she hated her hair since she had to put so much hairspray in, making it really stiff. But her hair looked really nice anyway.

We're going to go to Perkins for prom dinner. xd That way they can see us all pretty; and it'll cost less, plus we won't have to wait in a huge line like at places like Olive Garden.

Oh, and a server position just opened up. Amy said she couldn't promise anything, but she hinted at giving it to me if we get more hostesses.

I want to be a serveeeeerrrrr. I don't like putting in orders (I already get plenty of practice with to-go orders and it's a b***h to put in orders! It's so complicated and confusing and I have the hardest time looking for the dish I need to put in; those categories suck) and new servers have to run back to their tables a lot because you can add on sides are you forget to ask how a guest wanted their eggs done, etc.

But Ms. Walters said once I'm a server she'll have to come ask for my section and leave me a big tip. Tiegen said she would too unless I spilled stuff on her. xd
