Journal #41: Find the G-spot; Convention Contest (PRIZES)
*Disclaimer: Contest only for those in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada location. You can still win a prize if you do not participate, especially if you are not from Toronto, Canada. (Read Rules on how you can still win.) Also, if you do enter, read through the entire page so you know what is to happen. (I mean EVERYTHING! X3)*
Intro:
Well, my friends and I are going to Anime North(Anime Convention only in Toronto, Ontario) on the 24th of this may, and I thought it would be really cool to meet some fellow Gaianadians while I was at it. I like the idea of meeting new people, but only doing it over the internet is kinda boring. This is why I thought this would be a great way to meet soon-to-be friends in a fun and interactive way. Also, another reason I'm doing this contest, is because I'll be graduating this year, and I would like to have some fun before I make the cross from High-schooler to graduate. Yes, I'm only 17... ^^;;;
Prizes:
The prizes are as followed:
1st place: May 2008 letter
2nd place: 10k
3rd place: Avi Art
Consolation prize: Free Signs (Requires you to bring a Camera, and a sign you would like me to hold. Sorry, but my camera is lost at the moment, so you'll need to take the picture and scan it yourself... ^^;;; ) Added to this, all those who dare to find me, can have their names immortalized on my wall of Stalkers, found at the end of the page. (This can only happen if you tell me your Username.)
Consolation prizes go to every participant who remembers to bring their own camera. If I can find my camera, I may do it for you.
*SIDENOTE: Also, if I can't find my camera, would you mind taking a picture of me with you, and post it as a comment in my blog? I would like to rember all you people who decided to join my pre-graduation activity.*
How To Play:
It's pretty simple, all you need to do is:
1. Actually go to anime north! -gasps-
2. Find me! ^.^ I will be at the convention with my friends, but how will you find me? Easy, I will be wearing a little picture of a blue button, with a red "G" in the centre. Now, here comes the tricky part, I will not be only in one place! I will be moving around, so you will need to get off your butt, and search! X3
3. Once you find me, your goal is to give the little button a tap. (Don't worry, the button will not be placed anywhere inappropriate... XDDD)
4. After the button tap, you must say the phrase: "I'm a little tea-pot, short and stout. Here is my handle, here is my spout!" (You can do the dance with it, if you want...) Also, you must be enthusiastic while singing... ^^;;; (Only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd people to find me , have to worry about this part of the task. I will tell you what place you are in when you press the button.)
5. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF GAIA TO PLAY
6. If you connot go to the convention yourself, you can still enter. All you need to do, is refer someone else who can enter. If that person wins, and tells me that you told them about the contest, you will get 5-10k, depending on what place they get.
How to collect your prize:
With that ordeal done and over with, tell me your Username so I can send you your prize later on that day. If you are not comfortable enough to give me your username, that is fine, just say so. I will writedown, and give you a pass-code. When you get home, PM me with the pass-code so I know who to send each prize to. Don't worry, each prize will have a different pass-code, so no worries about mix-ups. REMEMBER: Do not share the code with anyone else, because the first people to send me each of the codes, will be the ones to get the respective prize.
Rules/Regulations/Restrictions:
Like all contests, this one will have a few rules to abide by, or disqualifications will be given out.
1. Please be respectful, I wouldn't want to get the wrong impression of you right after I just met you.
2. Only ope main prize per person. (Consolation Prizes are for everyone! X3)
3. Have fun. I would like to think that I made your pre-summer activities somewhat entertaining.
4. If you already know me in RL, you are automatically disquallified. I don't want you to have an unfair advantage.

Q. When did you join Gaia? ^^
A. I started in 2003, but I got bored of it for about a month, so I quit. It wasn't until around the time of my B-day last year that I re-joined because my friends forced me to do so.
Q. Do you find Gaia to be amusing? n.n
A. Yes and no... I find the fact that I can share multiple interests with tons of people, and I can have fun talking to people. Then again, I can't stand certain people who either guage prices, and/or are rude to one another over items. They're just pixels after all, right...?
Q. Why is the Contest called "Find the G-Spot?"
A. My name is Giovanni, so my friend thought it would be clever to name it that. ^^;;;
Q. Why would you hold this kind of contest? O.o
A. I just want to meet interesting people. Have you any idea how it is to be couped up in only one part of Toronto, without being able to meet someone new once in a while? I need freedom, and I want to have fun with cool people.
Q. What else do you have to gain by doing this? o.O
A. Just some new friends, atleast, I'm hoping you'd like to be my friends... ^^;;;
Q. Were you high when you thought of the contest? ._.
A. No, but I was a little hyper because of the sugar I had that day. Damn bubble tea... lol XDDD
Q. When we meet you, and go through the entire ordeal of trying to win a prize, do we need to leave you right away?
A. I would never shoo you away for no reason. I wouldn't mind talking to any of you, I'll enjoy the change in company, rathen than only be around my RL friends... ^^;;;
