Today a friend of mine called and wanted to go on a bike ride with her, her grandaughter, Trinity, and me. Perfect! Unfortunatley, I went in to the bedroom to put on my "park wearing shoes". Wilma (our dog) was roasting nicely on the bed. It has been very hot the last 2 days. After Wilma involved herself rolleyes I knew there was no way I could leave her behind. She is NOT the type of dog who can run on a leash while you are riding a bike so, I decided I would walk her to the off leash park. Actually, there is a funny story there about how we found out that she is NOT a dog who can run with bikes. It involves Trinity, and a black eye rofl . Remind me to tell you later.
Anyway eek back to my story 4laugh . Trinity and her friend rode bikes. My friend, who still had her bike, decided that we would hang together and take Wilma to the off leash part. What my friend didn't share was that she had 2 six week old miniature pinchers in a basket attached to her bike? They were non plussed by the experiecnce smile . When we got to the off-leash part, Trinity and her friend caught up with us. They were on the outside part so Wilma was ticked. She followed them all the way until the fence stopped. Her job is to protect the girls right? Once they went beyond that, and my friend and I went the other way, she about had heart failure when she lost sight of "her girls". Then, she didn't see me? It was not pretty. About 20 minutes later I found her stressing about the situation. We started walking her, the bike (with the puppies in it), and my older and overwieght friend back to the entrance. Then, my friend got a call from her grandaughter. She wrecked her bike on the opposite side of the park eek . She can't make it back to us. Trinity is helping her, but her grandma needs to ride the bike (with the puppies in it) back home, get the car, and come get her and Trinity. All this happened about 3 hours ago. Now, it looks like Trinitys friend broke her wrist and is pretty scratched up. Trinitys friend, her grandma, and Trinity are at the hospital now. What I didn't realize was that they were going to a military hospital crying ? Who knows when they will get back?
