The night before last was my grandfathers surprise party.
It was great, I bought a new outfit a jean, gold button up dress thing, anyways it was beautiful I thought. Daddy made me wear the jacket that came with it the whole night. But other than that we had a great time. My whole family on both sides came, thats why grandmother rented the country club.
Grandma hired a 50's style band, And decorated the place 50's! I guess it brought back memories for my grandparents. Grandpa was 18 and my grandmother was 14 when they started dating, It was in the 50's. Then they got married when she was 18
grandpa was 22. Anyways they've been married for a long time.
I mostly stayed with my cousins, It was great to see them again. It was just great to see everyone. My cousin Rory and me walked around the whole golf course. Its huge! Its where my grandpa golfs, its a real pretty course, Rory is my age.

My grandmother is quite a character. At the party she pulled every guy to the dance floor and swing danced with them. Dang she's still got it too. One of my other cousin's brought her boyfriend, my grandmother came and pulled on him, that song old time rock and roll (grandmother's favorite song) came on, she wanted to dance with him, we were all laughing, he was like oh please no, he didn't want to be embarrassed in front of everyone cause he couldn't dance, but grandmother just said shut up boy were dancin, and she took him out there. lol.
my grandmother is quite a lady. Im gonna write everybody their own page about them one of these days. Grandfather is soo opposite from her, he's real quiet, shy, not really out going like grandma, but you know what they say opposites attract. lol. Grandfather turned 70 years old. Hes lived a good life.
My aunt stood on the table to reach for a balloon and the table went from under her, shes old too and she broke her ankle. She my grandmother's little sister, shes funny too, when they helped her up she just said that was the end of her table dancin'. She's tough too. At the end of the night Grandpa sat in the chair by the fire place as we all sang happy birthday to him, He blew all 70 of his candles out, it was a big cake, and the adults drank a toast to him. YEAH it was a great night, grandfather had a good time. Grandfather was a major. in the air force. Almost all the men in my family have something to do with the military, except some exceptions in the family. We love em anyways. smile I feel so blessed to have a good loving family. I love it.
