My Thoughts Exactly
Title says it all!
Wooooow!
Ugh, Christ, I've been through so many emotions this weekend!

So, like, I left you off the morning before I left, right? I went to an anime convention, by the way. We ended up going after all, just waited the storm out.

We went to the convention, and it was cool. I found a dealer who would actually take Canadian money and exchanged that which my friend bailed out on exchanging, although I'm sure Canadian money is worth more at this point, so I probably got ripped off. But I don't care--I got fifty extra dollars that I hadn't planned on having for the con.

So yeah, that was cool. I got a collar and chain leash so my friend could keep an eye on me, because I would seriously get lost even in a convention as small as that one was. Seriously, artist's alley had maybe eight tables in it, just one room. It was TINY. MomoCon, right? If you've heard of it, you'll know how small it is, probably. But it's free to get into, anyway.

While we were there, the whole con had to go into lockdown mode because of some tornadoes. Go us for trying to go to a con in such bad weather, heh. So my friends and I and some dealers ('cause they had to leave their merch and everything, too) found this little room with no windows (or furniture or anything in it) that didn't have many people in it, and waited it out. We made friends and such (which ended up being beneficial because we got a discount from them later when we bought stuff), which I thought was pretty neat. Then the first tornado passed without touching down, but there was ANOTHER one that DID touch down and cause damage, and it was only a few roads away. And they tried to EVACUATE us OUT OF THE BUILDING to go somewhere TWO BLOCKS OVER while a tornado was on the ground and wreaking havoc. The dealers and my friends and I thought that was ridiculous, so we stayed in our little room, which was probably the safest place anyone could be. The tornado passed by without touching the student center, fortunately, and we had clear blue skies for the rest of the afternoon, haha.

We talked to someone who lived in one of the dorms that belonged to the college the convention was at, and he said his entire roof was pulled up by the tornadoes. Talk about close call! We saw some kind of famous revolving restaurant just a few streets over with all of its windows blown out because of the storms. We were really lucky it passed right by us!

So yeah, after that scare, we just went about as though nothing happened. I got an awesome tee-shirt with "please stop touching me" written across the chest in brail (you know, the text that blind people read), because I just couldn't pass up the hilarity. Only a few people find it as funny as I do, but I still appreciate it. I'm wearing it right now, actually.

I blew a shitload of money on pocky and I'm already out. D: The sitch' at the con was that the original pocky stall people ran out of pocky, and people weren't happy. So a bunch of con-guests got together and went to the Chinese store nearby and bought a SHITLOAD of pocky, yan-yan, and other kinds of candy, and sold it at their own stand. Who'd have thought a Chinese novelty store sold pocky? Anyway, I got a bunch there--some boxes of chocolate and giant strawberry pocky sticks, 'cause the only kind of strawberry they had that I liked came in singles. I like the strawberry pocky with the speckles in it, not just the plain strawberry or whatever. They had plain strawberry in a box of a bunch, but I didn't get that--I spent way too much money on the individual giant pocky sticks, xD; They had a GIANT BOX OF POCKY there, but it was too expensive for me, xD;; I can buy a box that big at Fandom for less.

There were also these Dragon Ball Z chocolate balls or something that one of my friends was speculating over, and this black guy comes up behind her and asks with a sly twinkle in his eye, "Hey, you like chocolate balls? <snicker>" and she looks at him smartly with a wicked grin and replies "Sure do, what can I say?" and the guy just looks baffled and starts laughing. It was amusing, haha.

Sooo.....one of my other friends and I decided that we're going to rent an art table for the next convention--they aren't very expensive and we could probably sell our art for a decent amount (hopefully). We want to cosplay as a yaoi couple, too, and see what people would think. But his mother really freaks out about him cosplaying at anime cons, so he's probably going to have to bag his costume until we get there. We haven't decided what anime/manga we're going to play as yet--possibly a couple from Loveless, although I have yet to read that. Isn't it like a chick manga or something? Whatever, I'm chick enough, xD What's pretty weird (but somehow awesome, lol) is that he's not gay, but he's still done (public-appropriate) yaoi at anime conventions for money. Like, kissing other guys and making sexually-fervent poses for pictures and stuff.

Yesterday, I had a long talk with my boyfriend. I thought we resolved a lot of issues, but...today, even though he seemed like he was in a better mood, I had this bad feeling consistently throughout the entire time I was talking to him. He kept telling me nothing was wrong, but his face definitely said otherwise. He looked troubled the entire eventing I was with him, and, stupidly, I kept mentioning it to him (which probably just annoyed him more). But I can't help it, I really worry about him! Now he's even trying to put on a false face to keep me from worrying, but...I can still sense that something's wrong, somehow. Sometimes, I really hate being overly sensitive to emotions--being empathic runs in the family. It makes a lot of people absolutely love me for being able to understand their problems and a lot of people absolutely hate me for being able to get under their skin so quickly. But at the same time I love being empathic, because I hate being left in the dark.

So here's Pan-man (nickname courtesy of Deathsies), signing off, more confused than ever!
