Journey Of Light
This is the Story about Uruk-Hellslinger, and his journey through Gaia Online
***Begin Chapter 1

Armads sat at the top of a hill. Though it looked like he was in deep thought, he was not, for he always found it hard to think. He was never one to think rationally, or to do things according to system. He was different then other humans. He was a 10 feet tall behemoth. A girl named Davianna came up beside him. she no longer had the rags that she had worn whenthey first met. It was this great mans kindness that had saved her, but she couldn't understand him. Why did he do things unlike anything she had encountered before.

She turned to him and asked, "Hey, whatcha doing?"

He turned to her and replied, "Thinking. Not come too easy though. I no understand thought."

Davianna smiled softly and placed a hand on his arm. She didn't know how to comfort him, but she could be there for him. She thought for a moment, then chose her words. "Why did you kill them berserker? Why did they have to die? YOu could have saved me without killing them, so why did you kill them?"

"I am who I am. The pain of others, I do not feel. The sorrow of others, Does not touch me. Death feeds me. Death pleases me. I am the essence I consume," Armads replied while lowering his head to look at the girl.

She was still confused. What had happened to this man that made him feel the need to kill? "Why? I still don't understand Berserker," She said in an innocent voice and leaned against his side while watching the sun set.

"You can never understand. The concepts of good and evil Are devoid of any meaning, any value. These ideas prevent others From liberating their own strengths. Foolishness. The ultimate foolishness," Arnmads said with a small shake of his head.

So he did it for power? She asked herself. No, He doesn't seem the type with a lust for power. She thought of a poem that she knew from her home and said it aloud:

"I am sorry but I cannot let you go, my angel.

If I let go of you now,
I would regret it for the rest of my life.
If I let go of you now,
It would hurt more than a knife.

Even though I am a Demon, I will not let you go.

I will not let you go,
Even if I am cursed by my kind.
I will not let you go,
For without you I might lose my mind.

So I hope you will forgive me, should I continue to stay by your side.

I hope you will forgive me,
Should I live on the run with you.
I hope you will forgive me,
Should I start my life anew.

I am sorry but I cannot let you go, my angel."

She turned to look up at him and asked, "Promise you'll never leave me alone?" she looked down and bit her lip. then she looked up at him with her soft and loving smile. "I'm never going to leave your side," she said in an innocent voice.

Armads looked down at her and what could pass for a smile graced his lips as he nodded. He would not leave her. It was her love that drew him to her. It was something that he had not felt since the death of his family.

Davianna giggled and leaned up on her tippy toes, and she was just tall enough to kiss his cheek as she wrapped her arms around one of his and hugged it tightly, leaning her head against it and smiling.

Armads looked at the setting sun with her attatched to his arm, like a unending bond of more than freindship. It was as if he had finally found someone that had understood him. They sat there together, and to keep her warm he picked her up and held her in his arms. She soon fell asleep and he took her to a cave. What was his home was nothing more than that. A cave that had an entrance made of wood planks, a fireplace in the center of the room and two beds one was smaller than the other and he placed the girl in that one. He put wood on the fire and lit it, watching it blaze brightly. soon the enbers were the only thing that glowed and he went to the larger bed and got ready to rest. He layed there, tossing and turning, not quite able to get comfortable.

Davianna heard the movements and awoke, she looked around her and over at Armads. She thought for a moment, then slipped off the smaller bed and went over to the man. She slipped into the bed beside him and pressed herself against his back, reassuringly.

Armads tensed a little, but then relaxed. He closed his eyes once more and together they slept through the night without trouble.
