Hello fellow Gaians,
Today I am feeling really tired and a bit glum. Do you ever have those days when you just don't want to do anything? Well today is like that for me.
I was trying to think of something interesting to say because it must be very dull if you have taken the time to click on my journal to find it is just full of moaning! So...
I have been thinking about laughter and why we do it!
I was watching something on TV (can't remember what now) that made me laugh out loud (really) and it made me wonder why I had done it. The program from what I remember was funny but what made me have a physical reaction to what someone had said on the TV?
We all know that laughter is enjoyable and makes you feel good but why does it?
I suspect that the answer lies in the mysteries of brain chemistry neutral
It's not like anything else that we do and why is it so pleasurable? I wonder if you made yourself laugh would it lift your spirits, or does it have to be spontaneous for the happy juices to flow? I was thinking of doing an experiment by making myself laugh to see if it would work....but frankly I don't want to laugh atm and the other people in the house might think that I needed carting off to the funny farm.
If anyone has any insider knowledge about laughing or any interesting thoughts on the subject I would be glad to hear them. heart
Sorry this is all over the place...but I'm just not having a good day... lol (not really) blaugh
