When all this crap finally hit me emotionally I wanted to be well away from here and someplace I could brake down in private.

Chatty left the main ways and entered a side way. I noticed that there were less blokes at this end and more girls in white robes… and similarly robed women too, most with that vacant dreamy expression of a Bond Chick.

-Must be servant territory.- I thought.

I lost track of Chatty but that was okay. I noticed some chutes that looked very familiar… either garbage or laundry. Which ever, it worked for me.

I took a dive down the nearest one and landed in a pile of dirty sheets. I was fortunate I was neither hurt falling into the dumpster come clothes hamper at the bottom or noticed climbing out. It was pretty freaking smelly though.

Luck was still with me as I notice a line of white robes carrying washing out a door. I grabbed a basket and joined the line as the odd instinct that had prodded me to follow Chatty, to think myself unnoticeable and so on was telling me that these chickies were headed outside.

They were indeed and while there were guards on checkpoints all the way along they weren’t particularly attentive. We entered a wooded section which would have been perfect for slipping away in but I ignored it. That same guiding something was telling me ‘Not yet, wait a bit. Soon.” So I listened.

It was in the most unlikely bit, just out of sight from at least 3 guards on a checkpoint that they said, “NOW!” I obeyed. I dumped my basket atop that of another girl and slipped out of line. No one paid the slightest bit of attention, even the girl who suddenly had a double load. I thought it was strange but then what wasn’t about this place.

I walked to and through what seemed to be a very small, almost hidden gate, recognized this place as half way to Yarra Junction and kept walking.

Away from that guy Gerome, his stupid Gate and all that went with it!

I walked and kept walking all the way to the bus stop and caught the next bus home.
