Death Magnet .::. Part 1
I think I'm a death magnet.

Why, you ask? Well, lets see...

In September of 2005, I had started a new school (Details on said school will be put in a separate entry.), which I did not need to attend until afternoon. For some strange, bizarre reason I decided to get up early one morning to see my brother and sister off to school. Before the bus arrived, I remember feeding our kittens, and remembering that Socks, also called Taozer(sp?), was missing. Thinking nothing more than he was off chasing butterflies, or some other kittenish nonsense, I paid his absence no heed until Tuesday, the bus driver, exited the bus and walked towards us, after D and M were safely on the bus. She told us that there was a kitten lying in the road, and that she didn't want to worry the little kids about it. My mother was inside and I being the absolute genius that I am, decided to go investigate. As I looked to the road, it was obvious that it was poor Socksy, yet I was still only just aquainted with death, so I believed him to just be hurt. As I rushed to his side, I noticed that his eyes were slit and glazed over. I gently touched him with my fingers and felt the stiffness that is Rigor-Mortis. At that I utterly, and totally freaked out. Fortunately, my mother managed to regain control of me, and sent me to bed, until 'twas time for me to be driven to school. That day I spent in the counselor's office.

The next month, October, saw the death of my Great-Grandfather. This death was particularly difficult, because I had just seen him the weekend before, and had planned to go with my mother and father that weekend as well, but had gone to a friends house instead. So I had the whole "OMG, I just saw him last week!" thing and the "Oh, I shouldn't have gone over there, I should have gone up to see Great-Grandpa!" thing going on at once. A few days later we went to the memorial, but not the graveside service.

Next up on my "Morbid List of Dead Animals I Have Found" ...list is Skittles, our guinea pig. When we got Skittles, her name was "Chocolate" and she wasn't the healthiest animal. She had just been recovering from a bout of ring-worm, and she had special care instructions. Nevertheless, she survived, at least until that fateful morning I Looked into her cage and realized she was gone from this world. Moving on...

I dont remember when exactly it was, but I do remember that my Aunt Helen died between Skittles and Christmas. I had never met her.

And now we come to the glorious day of January 31st, 2006, also known as my 16th birthday. Every girls dream day, huh? Not for me, although fortunately this time death didn't strike, a dump truck did.

2 be continued...
