MEMORIES


I open my eyes to see the morning’s first light.
The sun shines onto the earth like an angel descending from the heavens.
I take the first step of the day and look at your memorable face.
The clouds spin and make the shape of which I once drew,
I drew to remind myself of the times… The times when you where here.

Now I look back and wonder why, why I walk alone.
I look up to the sky, blue like the river of life,
Flowing like the path of destiny.
The wind blows south, but I keep walking, for the path is to the north.

The time is passing and the sun is setting.
The sky, now clear and orange, shines one last time.
I treasure this last moment and lie down on the grassy bank.
The passing light glistening beautifully -
Between the horizons of my eyes.

The moon passes above the night sky like the archway to the gods.
Glowing reflectively as the teardrops of memories.
I gaze into the light which comes from the darkness.
Shimmering through the gaps of trees making hearts,
I remember the times when mine was filled with life.

As time passes, the angels leave.
I close my eyes in hope of finding the light.
Now it’s time to gain back what was lost.
To gain back what I once held so dear, to gain back life,
To gain back the emotions that once were left unnoticed.

Now I glare back to the shade which I crept from,
I spread the light, as it was spread to me
The darkness isn’t gone, just a fragment of life.
Without darkness, there is no light. With no light, there is no love.
I hold each part close, Otherwise I would risk my life once again.
