As some of my friends know my area just went though a Typhoon and we have been declared a disater by the state.(Washington) it was bad. we lost power around 10:15 at night. we were flooded around 5:50 and it was in the house. about three inches and a foot out side. it was extreamly windy and i had to take my dogs out in it. well by the time i got out side most of the stuff in our neighbor's place was trashed and a good amount of our shelgles were gone. Well while the phones were still up we called some friends that lived near by and then loaded out van and started to drive to there place. we didn't get far before we ran into an area of about 39 feet of downed trees across the road. we turned back and the phones were down when we tryed to call. they came back on about 45 minutes ;ate for five minutes. we called for out friend to try and get us out do to the fact our house was trying to do a Dorthy. if you don't know what that is, ask. well it took then 3.2 hours to take the back roads to our house do to the downed trees they cut away. well we followed them back and they had to cut more trees away to get back the way they came. well we arived at there house wich had almost no wind. well we had no power for a day and a half. no phones for three days, no long distanc phones for 4 days and well all the roads were closed for about three days and it was a mess for a while do to the fact our county was on it's own for a long time do to all the cell towers being blown down and stuff like that.

UPDATE:

I have found out that three people died do to the storm. one died when there house cought fire.
the seconds was an old women who fell while going to check on a broken window and her son wasn't able to check on her like he always did do the downed trees and power lines.
the third died after the storm do to a heart attack while cleaning his property.
