This is going to be rather short, just because I'm writing it from the top of my head.

Itachi has pushed himself to the limits with his sharingan, and his eyesight is finally gone. Newly blind, and rather useless to the Akatsuki, Itachi leaves with Kisame and is abandoned under his own free will at the side of the road. He submits his ring to Kisame, and waits for his inevitable death at the hands of Uchiha Sasuke. However, is it even possible for his soul to be redeamed? As he sits wallowing in his own darkness, a young woman comes to him and drags him unwillingly away from it. Now starts a new story, and hopefully a better life for Uchiha Itachi.
