Storm Meeting
Two gongs rang out threw the still and silent night. When the last vibrations finally faded the silence was not returned, black clouds rolled in covering the full moon up completely and turning all to darkness. A flash of light broke the darkness showing the lands for but a moment. Then soft pliping sounds began to fill the night air as the rain slowly came down, like little pellets they hit the windows and trailed down them. Not long after this a loud crash of thunder shook the very Earth. The wind began to pick up as the storm rolled in fully to the small sleepy village.

A young woman stood looking out the rivulet covered window. The abyssal world only lit up when the sky allowed it to be. The usually warm and inviting village now seemed twisted and colder. Her glacial blue eyes watched the world outside when she was allowed to see it by the lightning. Nothing living moved out there but she watched seeing the different world the storm created, as well as watching what items the window decided to carry away.

She perks up as she thought she saw something. She placed a delicate hand to the glass fog began to form around her hand on the window as her hand was warm and the glass was cold. She was anxious for the next sky splitting light hopping it would be a bit longer. Soon her silent prayer was answered and her eyes widen slightly as she saw her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. A figure in a hooded cloak fought against the swift winds. The ends of the cloak flapped hard and water sprayed from it like its own smaller storm.

The woman quickly removes herself from the window rushing to get her own cloak, her hand print framed perfectly by the fog it had created. She quickly slips on her cloak and rushes out into the storm at once she is soaked threw to the bone and the wind nearly taking her to add to its collection. Her body shakes as a clap of thunder shakes the very ground she is trying to walk on. She forces herself to continue on to the figure pulling back her hood slightly strands of sapphire blue danced about whipping on the wind and sticking to her face. She yells to the figure to be heard over the storm, "Do you need shelter stranger!?"

The hooded figure stumbled slightly but nodded or so the woman thought. She nods and seeing him stumble she worried that he'd make it to her place on his own. She wraps an arm around his waist and helps him back to her place the door slamming in the merciless wind. She helps him inside and then shuts and locks the door. She strips off her cloak and hangs it up by the door to dry.

She would worry about herself later as she helped the stranger to the fire. She instructed him to strip down while she found some clothes and something he could use to dry himself with. She rushed off to her bedroom and began to dig threw one of the drawers. Her eyes sadden as she looked at the male clothes that were folded neatly in there. A tear slid down her face but with water dripping from her hair it faded into memory. She whispers, "Forgive me love." She grabs some clothes hopping they'll fit the stranger, and then rushes back to her guest.

As she comes down the hall she warns the stranger that she's returning by talking, "I found some clothes I'm not sure they'll fit. Hopefully something..." She stops dead in her tracks as she enters the warmth of the living room. Her heart felt like it had suddenly stopped beating then shattered. Her eyes wide at what greeted her. A small puddle beginning to form under her from being wet.

There before the fire was the stranger she'd just invited into her house. He had turned to greet her say his thanks but he just stood and looked at her. His long raven black hair stuck to his body and even to his face though he had tried to move it. He'd grabbed one of the blankets off the couch and wrapped it around his waist as he waited for her return. The firelight danced off his pale skin like an enchantment. His frame was thin yet toned little movements showed nothing of the power hidden in that lean frame. The most soul shattering to the woman was when she watched the firelight dance in beautiful crimson eyes. Eyes that held no expression yet so much. She took a step forward her hand lifting without any encouragement, "Lov..."

A blinding flash of light ripped threw the sky her head spins to the window to see the world outside as if during daylight. Then a clap of thunder that shook her house making it feel as if it would come down at any moment. She clasps her hand over her ears and drops to her knees. When it finally ends she slowly lowers her hands and lifts her head, the room is dark. She makes her way to the fireplace and relights the fire. She looks about the figure is gone. She begins to think it was all in her mind but as she shifts slightly she looks down to see that she's standing in a puddle of muddy water, one she did not make...
