Meanwhile, had my first Japanese lesson in college. I really want to read Japanese novels. I think most translations leave out a certain amount of fluidity and the author's original intended voice. It will take a long time to train in the language before I can read fluidly though. And I'm not disrespecting those who translate. I think they are wonderful. I just want to hear how things will sound in the original language. First Japanese, then hopefully Chinese.
