Hi! My name is Mikadanoru, but you can call me Mika for short! I am currently 8 years old. I live with my 13 year old brother, Sukimada. I call him Sushi, because his name 'Suki' sounds so alike to my favorite dish: Sushi. Theres also my mother and father, Kiam Ohayo and Yukimada Ohayo. My brother was named similiarly to my father... It's a family thing. I have wonderful friends! There names are: Hana, Kelly, Julia, Kri, Steven, and Leana. I've known most of them ever since I was 3. We graduated Kindergarten together... Ate each other's crayons... Share lunches... Make weird faces at public restraunt's windows... Some of my older relatives say that i'm such a naughty kid, but they're just joking around... I think. Anyways! My whole life changed.. On the day before my birthday.
[June 18th... An odd, chilly morning.]
"Hey little Mushroom." My older brother ruffled my hair, and carried on with his daily morning routine... Shower, Teeth, Floss, Contacts.. blah blah blah. Ohs, I almost forgot. He takes FOREVER to do his hair. I mean, come ON! What kind of 13 year old boy does his hair that long in the morning?! It's gonna get messed up anyways. I walked through the rooms, and halls in he house.. Suddenly, I heard my father in the restroom. Deciding on what to do, it turned out like this:
"Daddie!!! Are you done yet? Suki is taking sooo long in there! And I needa go number 1 really... really... REAL-" I was cut off.
"Alright alright! I'm out!" I heard the master bedroom's restroom unlock, I scrambled to open it. But too late. My dad already opened it. Having his mustache half shaven. One side all nice and clean... The other... covered in shaving cream.
"Daddie.. Did I disturb you in any way?" I just HAD to ask...
"Oh no, not at all darling." He gave me a cheeky grin. "I was just trying to shave and brush my teeth at the same time.. While searching for your mother's tweezers." Hmm, why was my dad looking for my mom's tweezers??
"Daddie, why do you need mom's tweezers?" Whenever I asked a question... I always have my head tilted to the right side, with my arms and hands hanging limply. Somethings wrong with me, I bet. People say it's just a borned habit, and that it's cute. Seriously though! It's painful. Maybe it's the work of aliens.. Who knows?!
"I'm plucking my nose hairs. Don't you need the restroom?", he raised an eyebrow at me.
"No. I just wanted to see what you were doing. Thats all. Bye daddie!" That was.. disturbing. My dad doesn't pluck his nose hairs... Much.
I went back into my room and opened the fresh white drappers. Letting in nothing but gloom and thick air. 'Looks like it's gonna rain...', I thought to myself. The thought of rain didn't hung me down. Actually, I love the rain. It brings freedom to my soul.
[After I had my turn of the restroom.. And I had finally ate breakfast.]
"Argh... Sushi, did you take the last bacon?" I stared at my brother. I hate it when he takes the last bacon.
"Err. No. I think Uncle Sui did. He came here a few minutes ago..." He laughed at me, using his brotherly 'You're-such-a-little-baby'.. laugh.
"Uncle Sui?.. Whats he doing here?"
"Ohs, Hana and Kri called too. They said they're coming over around brunch time."
"YIPPIE!!!" Standing on my chair now... My mom gave me a stern look.
She gestured me to sit down, and eat my food. Mother isn't a talkative person, but when she gets to go out with her friends, they chatter away!
[A few hours into the late morning...]
"SUKI, C'MON! OPEN THE DOOR!" Great.. I got locked outside my own home again. I pounded on the front door visciously. No ones responding. I had went out to take a small walk to the grocery store, and back. By the time I came home, which is just now, I found out... No one was home. "Great... Just great."
"MIKA! MIKAAA!!!!!" Someone shouted my name, far off to my left side. I glanced over, and saw my neighbor, Angeline.
"Angel? What happened?!" She ran over as quick as she could, it was pretty fast for 2 houses down, since shes 2 years older than me. Panting, she had a chance to spoke.
"M-Mika... Your parents are.. At the... hospital." She took a final breath, and looked me seriously in the eyes. "Your brother, Suki.. got into an accident." I looked up, expected to see her calm eyes, but this time they were frantic...
"No... What do you mean?" I halfly whispered to myself.
"Your brother got hit by a car, while walking to the park with his friends."
"Ahaha, nice joke Angel. Very nice. Now wheres my parents?" I gave out a nervous laugh. I didn't want it to be true. My brother was the one I could talk to, besides Hana of course.
"I am not kidding around Mika, look at me. Do my eyes say i'm kidding?!" Thats when I started to break down crying. It couldn't be. My brother is always so careful on the streets, how can he?!
"NO! IT'S NOT TRUE!!! NO!!!" I sniffled, letting the tears flow down my pale cheeks. Running as fast as my little legs could carry me, I kept running... and running. Without a stop. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain come from my head. Falling to the ground, I started wincing and slowly... into unconsciousness.

"Mika.. Are you alright?..." The voice was very familiar. Knowing right away who it was, i fluttered my eyes open and sat up straight from wherever I was laying.
"Hana?!"
"MIKA, THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE AWAKE!" She embraced me with a hug. Hana always had this smell of baked apples on her. Then there goes her wavy black hair, and simple kind eyes. She was the best friend I ever had. Through weird situations, to difficult problems, we've done it all together. Even though we're only 8, we've done alot of trouble... I have to admit.
"What do you mean?" I was completely clueless.
"You were knocked out cold.. Angel said you got hit by a tree."
"Er... Ohkays then." I scratched my head, and i winced. "Oowwww." The pain was unbearable.
"Ohs, don't touch that side, you harmed it pretty badly. But not so much, that you get brain damage." Hana gave me a reassuring smile. Then something struck me.
"HANA! Wheres my parents?!"
"Oh they're just outsi-"
"THANKS!" I jump off the white matress, and ran outside the door. "MOM, DAD?!" I heard my mom rummaging around with my dad in back of me. "MOM!!!" I burst into another flow of tears. Turning around, I squeezed her in a hug. "You know how worried I was?!"
"Mika..." My dad whispered to me to calm down.
"DAddie.. Wheres Suki? Please tell me hes in the arcade... Like he always is." My eyes were pleading. 'God, please... Have him be okay.' I thought to myself.
"I'm... Sorry Mika. Suki... couldn't..." My dad turned his head away, hiding his tears.
"...make it...?" I finished the sentence for him. Having myself sob like crazy. I felt arms around me, 2 pairs of arms... "Hana... Kri." I leaned my head to my right side, knowing perfectly that it was Hana.
"Mika, don't worry. Hes in a better place now." I heard her whisper to me.
