Now dance your way back to Zion...
Dance your way back to Zion….
My favorite line from Original Roots in Stereo by P.O.D.
I’m pissed right now- apparently my computer has a virus and it’s messing with my internetz.
So I’m going to be getting highlights. Oh, and another haircut- anyone remember when I hacked off ten inches for Locks of Love last Christmas? Well I learned that I love my hair short, anyway- annoys the stuff outa my dance teacher ‘cause it’s so hard to put back. She yelled at me last time; ‘If you don’t get that hair out of your face I’m getting the scissors!’
Needless to say I pushed it behind my ears, as I have absolutely no faith in Sheila’s aptness with a scissor to my hair. Of course it fell into my eyes again and I don’t think it was my imagination when she growled at me.
As for the highlights, my hair is a dark strawberry blonde so I’m thinking a lighter shade of blonde would look good.
And in other news, I have overcome all my discomfort and have openly admitted that I question the crap out of Christianity. I was afraid, since my family is full of huge Christian fanatics.
Alright, so that’s out of the way. Now all I have to do is choose the right path for me.
Wicca is… compelling. Appealing. I like the belief of the God and the Goddess, because it provides balance- masculinity on one end and femininity on the other. Very natural. And I love the overall attitude of positive energy, nature and respect of life.
My favorite aspects may be the Sabbats, the Threefold Law and the Rede of the Wiccae.
Threefold Law: Any energy you put out into the world, good or bad, returns to you threefold- in spirit, body and mind.
The Rede of the Wiccae is a poem that sort of gives you an overview of the Wiccan attitude and all. The last line is ‘An ye harm none, do what ye will’ meaning basically ‘live and let live’ (which is a line in the rede). It’s just a very peaceful religion.
I might remain within Christianity, but be Lutheran rather than Catholic or something. We’ll see.
