Primary key is correct focus
Apropriate shutter speed
Contrast between subject and background

Shape Focus
edges clearly defined

Soft Focus
Edges blurr

center of interest
should be in focus with backgound out of focus

When is soft focus good in portraits
To hide blemishes or inhanse the mood

When is soft focus good in landscapes
to achive a dreamey affect

When shutter speed is too slow the subject wil be blurred

A fast shutter speed prevents blurring

Contects of a photo they are asken what is the setting

Causes of poor clarity
1) failer to set correct distance on focusing ring
2) Usen to large an aperture
3) Subjects moves causen a blurr (camara shake)
4) the inlarger is incorrectly focused

A lack of light can be made up for in two ways
1)Shutter speed can be decreased
2) apecture can be increased

Depth of Field
range of distance that will be in focus at any one time

Presention is the care and skill of which the final print has been produced
1) keep negative and prints clean
2)edged trimed neatly
3)squared corners
4) propor adhesive to mat board

Compostion is
How a photo is put together usen the elements and principles of art

Point of interest
A single dominent object/thing that stands out

Cropping is the ways it's framed

Lines
Draw the viewers eye toward or away from the point of interest and add to visual impact

Aesthetics
Your style and what make the differentce between skill and art
