To bond with others is in human nature, but why do some of us choose to live in solitude? We know in our hearts that being close to someone can warm the soul, but losing them can be to much to bear. We would rather die than to lose something that can't be brought back, through physical or mental means. To not be able to touch another human who has touched your life so much, can be despair unmatched by others, and a memory can hurt the heart, when it feels like it is no longer there, so we try to forget. Stare at the moon, and pray for a person. It feels so right, but in a way, we wonder why we do it. We get so lost in logic, that we begin to forget that many things don't have to have logic, for it is a force that can't be explained. So why do people choose to live in solitude, for the one lifetime they possess? It is our minds, hearts, and souls dueling for reason, fighting in confusion, and wrestling with questioning, for we know not if we may have another chance in another life, and those who feel that this is the one life they shall ever live, it sometimes feels better to go through it with no pain. The soul searches itself, only to be guided by guesses and confusion. I often question the credibility of the souls advice, and seek answers from the heart, though it is just another enemy of the mind. Our consciousness and state of mind is believed by many to exists in all living creatures, but then why do all other creatures have the ability to go about life without questioning, reason, and logic. A lot of us believe that they just lack the brain power to be able to conjure such thoughts, but sometimes, it would be wise to have the minds and hearts of an "animal" raised up to "human" standards. When clearly thought through, we are all animals. We eat, sleep, and breath like any animal you may find outdoors. We are one in the same. To find any reason to challenge this is only furthering the narrow minded human perspective. The questioning becomes more intense and can create confusion. In the universe, question is the most used thought. This is known because nothing would have happened if there was never questioning. This is the thought that makes our society move at its rapid pace. The world appears to move faster and faster from humans lust to find answers. We want to know more, create more, discover more. This thought has developed into a gluttonous behavior as time marched on. Our everyday thoughts are shaping the world into what it currently is and what it will be. Many believe that the shape is one of doom, chaos, or just the end of life as we know it. Why they think this, it's pretty simple. We can find some of the answers on something as simple as the news. All of this war, the innocent lives taken, ruthless murders, bombings, starvation, suicide, riots, global warming, disease…. the list can continue for quite some time. These events cause many an uneasy feeling, even in their everyday lives. They become paranoid and fearful. Many are left scared to even sleep. I see many who try to help, and bless their hearts for doing so, but I feel that more can be done. There are people who just play sports for a living and make more in a month than most make in a year. It makes no sense to get paid such a large amount of money just from playing. Insanity. There are constantly lotteries that offer as much as millions of dollars to a single person. Mind blowing. It just seems like so much money is wasted. Setting aside all of these crazy ways to blow money can benefit many others who truly do need it. We can feed other countries, help with illness, and shelter the homeless. The world is such a confusing place and that leads to my earlier point. The confusion and the question make up much of what is going on even at this very moment. If we can manage to try and improve the lifestyles of all people, we can probably accomplish more and develop into a better society. Sure, nothing can be perfect, but much can be done to shape our future into a more prosperous one. When will the madness come to a calm halt, and everything can be more relaxed and restful? It most likely never will, but dreaming is what keeps up morale and hopes I suppose. We all need dreams, no matter hoe far-fetched or impossible it may seem. Our very existence relies on this for if we have nothing we hope for, nothing we hope to accomplish…. What is the purpose for waking up in the morning? Our days will feel meaningless. Everyday will be a repeat of unhappiness, boredom, and wasted time. Go for the things that really matter in your life. Nothing is stronger than the will of a person who believes in themselves and their dreams. Nearly anything can be accomplished with a mentality such as this. That is what life is all about. Doing what makes you happy. Doing what makes your day feel fulfilled. Go with the flow of life and live it up. We all seek for our purpose. We really don't have one except to make it whatever we want to be.
