Emotion. Its the sole purpose of human existance. The variety. Its the main goal of the vast majority of people on the planet. Yet its the most violent and destructive power on Earth, tearing its victims down on their knees and brandishing its weapon for the final blow. And at the same time its the force that drives all of us to the next level, rooting supportingly in the back of our minds. In the core of our hearts. Its the sensation that seems to fill us with meaning, as if we could rule the world. All of us thrive for emotions of love and happiness and achievement. And every time we are buffeted by emotions of hate and sorrow and pain. Jealousy and heartbreak. Confusion and depression. All urging us to do the extreme. All making us need to do evil in order to reach that stage of achievement, or to drag another guilty soul to his hands and knees until he is begging for escape from his own emotions. It seems as though for every step that one takes, he has to evade and sometimes run head on into the wave of dark in between he and his prize, whether it be a goal, a woman, a beloved friend, or even one of his own emotions as he presses against the onslaught of betrayal and lonliness even if it is to get only a small time of the feeling, whether it be that of love or of pure purpose. And even if those who care for you are right by you're side, you know that few can feel or even imagine the pain you're feeling inside, as they are always urging you to forget, and the ones that understand give you the support of a thousand arms. But even in your darkest moments, remember this. There will always be lights along your path, no matter how far apart they may be, and when you learn this, it will become clear to you why so many people cannot forget. Will not forget. And even though they are traveling through the belly of the beast they fight for their lives and stay down for only short amount of time, getting up knowing they will see and want to see the light side of the emotions they fear. And they will. Happiness and love and acheivement and purpose always goes to those willing to fight through the pain to get it. And when you're at this point of you're life, and when you can understand all the pain of you're broken friends, I'll be there for you, no matter what the cost. No matter what the consequence. You know who you are. And when you need a shoulder to cry on or a friend to hold or confide in, I'll be at your side. Always know that. Because I know what its like, and I know your trying to get to the next bright light on your path. And for the most part, we spend more time in those lights, because joy is always only a little bit away, and many of us are blessed with near consistent happiness and love. And that is our goal, and we will reach it, even if we do need help.
