Man, this 4th of July rocked. I had, for the most part, a lot of fun. biggrin
We lit fireworks. I got singed by a spark from one of the fuses on my thumb, but it's fine. My brother lit a firework that shoots into the air, and it fell over and started spinning. It threw one harmlessly down the street. The next went towards my mom and sister, hitting the car and leaving a black mark on it. The next went towards me, and hit my leg before bouncing off. I stared at it stupidly for a second until my brother said "run" to me. So I ran. Then my brother noticed the next one had gone down the street and blew up on a baby fir tree. Which caught fire. So my brother, me, and my stepdad (a former fireman) all ran over. My brother and stepdad started stomping the fire, and I noticed a hose and found where it turns on. My brother grabbed the hose, getting soaked in the process, and finished putting the fire out.
That really scared my sister and I, even more than getting shot at by the firework. We didn't have any more problems after that, though my sister, mom, and I all hid behind the cars in the driveway every time one of that type of firework was lit. XD
