The Town and Flames 6-26-07


Sparks;
Turned into a fire
And the town is burning,
And the town is burning!

People;
Of the town,
Are rationalizing
What is happening.

Smoke
Above this town,
Is the only sign
Of what has begun.

Screams
Of the people,
Cannot be heard
By anyone

Stuck;
In a room,
Is a child
Watching all the flames.

Forgotten;
Is this child,
Of a family
Who doesn’t know what to do!

Saviors
Of the people,
Know what to do
In times like these.

Saved
Is the child’
Marked and scarred
By the burning flames!

Help;
Is on the way,
The people wait
As the town goes down.

Stay;
That’s all he did,
The child
In the room.

Saved;
By the only person
Who could see the pain
That he had to endure.

Flames
Grow higher
As the town people
Watch them grow!

Light;
That the flames give off,
Amaze the people
What a beautiful sight to see!

Watch
The flames,
They’re captivating
Grabbing the towns attention.

Caught
In a crossroad,
The town is weak
Falling at the knees of the flames.

Mystified;
The town is burning
Yet the people
Worship these flames!
