The Red Pony


The loss of the red pony led Jody explores his emotions and how far his greed would cause much pain to Billy Buck all for his newborn calf.
Dreaming since a small child to own a horse, Jody, was first to introduce to Gabilan, a red pony who was fit to someday be ridden with pride. Earning advice from Billy Buck he first learned that a pony was great work to handle which usually provided Jody to miss his chores, first he would have to learn how to halter brake such a creature said Billy Buck for reassurance the pony could be led into any kind of road.
Jody took too much pride in the beast that he thought everyone should know he would one day be like Billy Buck and his horse. They were known for winning first place prizes in rope a steer, and dismounting. Working hard to make sure the pony could led Jody spent much of his time with him though one day it appeared, rain would pour down and the pony would become very sick so ill that mucus was blocking the beast’s nose so it could not breath. Jody turned to Billy Buck who he felt was responsible for the pony being ill in the first place. Jody would have never left the pony out if Billy Buck hadn’t swore it wouldn’t rain. Billy Buck felt guilty for he set out to cure the pony.
Sadly, the pony passed away due to a hole in his throat (purposely made), and sleepless nights. Jody was engrossed with pain from such a loss and questioned how the world could be so cruel.
