the history of my story, Sanguinary Lullabies
Believe me, this is going to be really long.

The first "novel" I ever worked on was something really bad called A Vampire's Tale, a real stereotypical vampire story. Really. It was the first story I ever finished writing, though- it was, I believe, around 130 pages. It became a trilogy, the second story being around 200 pages and the third, going unfinished, I stopped writing at around 350 pages.
But as I neared the end of the third, I realized just how stereotypical this was becoming. I knew I could do much better at that point, I just needed to think of something... more original than this whole story which seemed like one big "dark alleyway" cliche after a while.
I came up with The Fine Art of Murder which still had vampires in it, but the main character was a fallen angel. I went through this phase where I just HAD to make is SOOOO damn obvious what species my characters were. His name was Hugo- yeah, he didn't even have a last name- and damn, after a while I hated him. The story got to 90 pages and then died.
Alright, so I wanted to try again. I wanted to create my own race.
Then came Song of the Fallen, and along with it, the Remnants.
The Remnants were these immortals who, for a while, served no purpose. Why? Because I couldn't think of one, but that's not the point. They were pretty cool- they ended up being these assasins of the Underworld and stuff.
But then it because a Buffy the Vampire Slayer type thing because of this annoying hunter I just had to throw in there and it flopped at 60 pages {or less... now I can't remember.}
I loved this one character in it, though- his name was Arsen. He was a Remnant, one of the most hated and abused, and a sexy Brit.
He became Wyatt {again, no last name- i didn't start giving my characters last names until recently}, a main character in this story called Shock to the System which was about the Remnants- again- only this time, it was one who was sickeningly in love with the other.

I'm happy to say that Wyatt wasn't half of that couple, thank God.
But that transformed into A Beautiful Beast, same characters, same love affair, but Wyatt became Ashford Balin Richmond, a sexy fallen angel.
Basically, Ash has been around ever since I started writing. I even had this vamp named Charles in A Vampire's Tale that was a ton like him, I just realized.
Then came Dimitri, sort of a Russian, girly- ish version of this character from A Beautiful Beast, Edgar Alden DePold. Tried to write his life story, didn't work, so here I am with this new story, Sanguinary Lullabies. He went from an angel of death to...
...well, let's not get too far into what he is now, 'kay? >_<
Of course, there were a ton of things in between- way to many to count- but they were all failures.
