And while I should be doing my math homework, I'm here instead. While I should be making sure that I get a good grade, I'm writing in a virtual journal. While I should be finishing work required of me before I go out of town on Friday, I'm instead killing time, wasting effort, and (overall) procrastinating.
And this would normally be a good thing, but my grade teeters on the edge of nothing. With my grade-point average being scarcely above a B, I'm at risk of not being able to travel. Unfortunately, my music teacher and my parents have made this a generally difficult situation.
My parent's rule: I may not travel with a GPA of a C.
My music teacher's rule: If I do not travel, I must instead write a paper that should be no less than six pages that will inevitably take me literally three whole days to write.
His idea is that this will make people want to travel. Unfortunately, even if I did want to travel (which I do), I still might not be able to. And while there are those that do choose essay over Musicfest (as it's commonly known), I am not one of them. I want to go. I need to go. My life depends on it.
Okay, so that's an exaggeration, but you get the idea.
I've probably killed enough time already. I have work to do and, alas, I must eat.
