Apparently cars (and also gasoline, so driving them too) are the most expensive in the Netherlands compared other countries in the EU (and also most outside of the EU). Explanation: taxes.
For instance: for the same car you'd have to pay 40.000 in the Netherlands, while 'only' 30.000 in Belgium.

There was a long interview on tv last Sunday with a Dutch politican. She also criticized the Dutch government and the Dutch people. She said: it's fine if you're conservative, but at least be honest about it, instead of pretending to be progressive. The Netherlands might have been progressive once, with gay marriage. Way back then. But nowadays gay people are being yelled at when they walk hand in hand on the street. Same with women's rights. There's a lot of femicide in the Netherlands. You can keep trying to pretend that the country is doing oh so very well, oh and blame immigrants at the same time rolleyes , but the situation for lots of people has not been improving.

I remember there was a minigolf center, near the coast. And there were trampolines there. But those minigolf visits were the only few times in my life I've ever played on a trampoline.
But nowadays you see lots of trampolines in people's gardens. I bet it goes wrong pretty often.

Trampolines are really dangerous, aren't they? I recently heard of someone dislocating her shoulder because of a jump-going-bad from a trampoline. And a doctor on a tv show was treating a 14-years old who had a serious knee injury. gonk

I read on the dog forum (I haven't been active there lately, because the place looks very glitchy) that the dog dhow in Austria is very strict. That vets will be checking pets health. And dog breeders aren't allowed to shave the whiskers and that sort of thing.

We already figured that our new future neighbor (the Maserati man) wanted the house for a long time. But we recently found out he is a very rich and powerful man. I think he's been planning many, many things ahead to try to block our future rights. I think that's why the house has been supposedly for sale all this time...

The rain came pouring down this morning. I was soaked in a matter of seconds.

My brother is mentioning is planning a new vacation. I don't know where he'll be going, but I also wonder if I'd want to go anywhere with my parents. My dad can't walk long distances. Neither can the dog. So maybe my mom and I should go with just the two of us. Not sure if that will be a success though...

I just heard (I must have missed it on the news) that soldiers on board of an American aircraft carrier had been there over 9 months and the conditions are horrible and some have jumped overboard. eek
