Boredom is generally the result of a poorly-exercised imagination. I mean, if you expanded your interests and explored activities you can do within your limited means, then you'd have less idle time. Anything can be interesting if you approach it right and choose to be interested in it, engage your mind in it. How do you think people in jails or who are hostages manage to survive? If they can manage to entertain themselves and not go crazy, you can stop being bored and not worry about being a glutton.
