The Road Not Taken

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
if you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.

- William Shakespear: A Midsummer Nights Dream. 'Puck'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
- Robert Frost
About
OK. First and foremost, to get it out in the open for everyone to know. I am a GIRL!
I just happen to have a guy avatar because frankly I like the items better. And I role play guys better then I do girls. Not to mention that I'm a tom-boy, always have been and most likely always will be. Don't be too shocked, if you looked closely it's pretty easy to see it.
Hi, I'm - Lord_Francois -: But I've also gone by Lordy, Lord, Franc, Francs, or even McLordy the Highlander (don't ask me about that one. Kind of hard to explain). I'll go by whatever you want to call me.
Well what can I say about me, beside that I'm a twenty-three year old who has a fetish for anything to do with fantasy and anime. I've been into fantasy for as long as I can remember and my head seems to always be stuck in one book or another. I'm have a big interest in the middle and dark ages and the Renaissance periods. So pretty much anything to do with English and European medieval history I’m interested in.
I started writing fantasy books by the time I was around eleven or thirteen. Though nothing ever got finished or published. So don’t bothering looking around your local library. The real problem is I have too many ideas running though my head all the time.
In my spare time, when I don't have boat loads of stuff to do I spend most of my time writing and drawing, but mostly I spend my time role playing with my friends and half of my characters end up in my stories anyway.
I grew up with a lot of fantasy as my parents read them to me. Mostly they read me stories like "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S Lewis, "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R Tolkien. Not to mention my dad used to make up stories that had dragons and unicorns, and then he would tell them to me before I went to bed when I was little. My brothers and sister exposed me to fantasy too, so I just picked it up from them.
I read. A lot. Some of the current series that I am trying to read are: The Dresden Files: The Hunger Game series: Cal Leandros series: FableHaven series: And a few others that I haven't even begun to mention or I can't think of right now.
I really didn't get into anime until some years ago when I met some of my friends and they exposed me to it. I had also gotten out of the habit of role-playing for a number of years and they pulled me back into it. Which I'm glad they did as it allows me to expand my ideas about stories and books.
So there you have it, me in a nut shell. A half crazed psycho path who wants nothing more then travel, see the world, and be left alone to my fantasies that fly through my head.
It's easy isn't it, to realize we don't have a choice.
"I got no idea. But what
I got is a G.E.D.
and a "give 'em hell"
attitude and I'll figure it out."
- Dean Winchester, Supernatural
"Human beings make life so interesting. Do you know,
that in a universe so full of wonders,
they have managed to invent boredom."
- Death: The HogFather
Hub: "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are
basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in."
