Bears don't show their noses often. And when they do, you walk away from them anyway.

The deer here don't scare or flag their tails or really move around much.

The "city" (four thousand people is apparently a city) is covered in "wild glossetts" and pigeon crap as the mediocre way of the town. At the best of times, there's a happening at the only real "centerpoints" of the town (the arena and the high school), and at the worst of times during winter you need snow shoes, shovels and ice skates to make it from my house to the school building...

Yeah. I wonder why there aren't any in my town. It's so remote... (don't believe me? Google "Grand Forks, BC" and find a map) You'd expect a whole array of wildlife here. We just have deer and the occasional bear. Nothing exciting to watch like squirrels.

Squirrels would have to be stupid to come around my neighbourhood. I live by a busy two-lane highway, there's a frontage road in front of my house, and the front door where the tree is happens to be the main entry/exit point. Squirrels here are too shy anyway.
