Good point, the Persians did have a massive army, so it was likely for s**t like that to happen when it's so crowded, but in the end, Athen's was burned to the ground (which was a rare phenomina in Persian culture since they rarely burned down or killed inhabitants of towns). But in the end, I guess it's all history and it's interpertations.

And the other movie you mentioned is something I may have to look into, thanks for the hint.

I hated that movie solely for that reason (though as a cinematic presentation, it wasn't all too bad) and it made my Persian culture seem so antagonistic and weak. I mean, they went out of their way to make my culture look bad, especially by adding demons and making Xerxes look like some fat pimp with too many piercing.

And the armor and combat, I mean they had the Persian soldiers practically running into the spears without any thought or whatever. They made us suck!

Some guys in my school love that movie to death and really did believe that the Persian were that weak, and it pisses me off to no end when they try to justify it with real history as if the movie had some historical reference on that ground that was palpable.
