Bio: Droiture was born deformed and broken, causing his true mother Maria Deuxieme-LeReve to go insane upon his birth and kill herself in the hospital, believing this deformed child to be a Daemon from Hell. His father, Richard, grew distant from his son and often beat him. His new wife and Droiture's stepmother, Helena, was a horribly abusive woman who hated him for the abomination that he was. When his sweet baby half-sister, Annabella, died of an incurable form of cancer, Droiture went insane with paranoid schizophrenia, ending up in St Clarabelle Hospital in the insane asylum. For years he remained there under the care of Dr Laura Tso, until she fudged his records and set him free. The two of them escaped from Paris and began to travel, Laura remaining in France while Droiture traveled to America. He was eventually deported back to France, where he discovered his sister's secret lair underneath LeReve Manor. In his schizophrenic hallucinations, he saw the answer to his plight: Kill Helena. During a final fight with Helena, Droiture received injuries that would later take his life. In the Epilogue it is revealed that he had gotten Laura pregnant before he left for America, and later on went to produce a child, grandchild, and great-grandchild named Elena.

Bio: Annabella was born between her true mother and true father, Helena LeReve and Richard LeReve. Throughout her childhood, she was treated like a perfect little angel by Mummy and Daddy, though she detested the treatment. She tried to get closer to her older half-brother Droiture, only to be harshly turned away by her mother, who believed Droiture's Daemon heritage would corrupt the little girl. Unbeknownst to the parents, Annabella snuck behind their backs and pledged her life to her Big Brother, who in turn protected and cared for her like one would care for a fragile glass statuette. Annabella loved Droiture dearly, and the feeling was mutual. However, she grew deathly ill with cancer and later died, and the blame was placed on Droiture, which caused the chain of events that landed Droiture in the asylum. She appeared to him ten years later in a hallucination, fully-grown and able to tell him that it was not his fault she died and not to worry anymore.
Annabella is full human, though she has the special ability to sense a person's soul and let her know instantly if they are good or evil. She also has a form of Synthesesia, a mental disorder that messes with some of her senses. She is able to see music being played as colors dancing in her mind, an ability that would prove useful in her childhood. She also has a surprising vocabulary for a nine-year-old.
