Hello! I'm an incredibly social undergrad at Ohio State University.I'm double-majoring in International Studies (Development Studies) and Political Science (Comparative Politics), where I plan to learn what I need to know to make the world a better place. Sound corny? Yeah, I think so too. But it's what I want to do. Result of watching too many Disney movies as a kid? Possibly. I'm going to travel all over the third world, living with the poorest of the poor and figuring out just what's going on before I try and change things politically.
For the time being though, I'm just a somewhat average girl with dreams a lot bigger than I am. *is 5'1''* I like talking a little too much and I love to read and write - all this has resulted in an obsession with foreign languages (as well as my own). I'm under the impression that the more languages I learn, the more people I can talk to, the more books I can read, and the more ideas I can convey. The better I get at those languages as well as my own - the better I can express myself.
I also love dancing with a passion that cannot be sated or destroyed. I'm always on the move. When I'm not working, I'm usually out with friends, and when I'm not with them I'm either reading, writing, walking, online, or doing something else...
My favorite book series is still Harry Potter after all this time. I even wrote some fanfiction for the series a while back. I still feel a pang when I get reviews yelling at me for not updating in forever. sweatdrop
My favorite manga series is Fullmetal Alchemist. Edward Elric is my favorite male fictional character of all time. I collect manga with my sister and we have 145 of them in our collection so far.
I have five younger siblings, by the way.
I have an unhealthy obsession with music, clothes, and shoes. If you ever have a good band/artist to recommend me, please do!
Half Price Books and resale shops are supposed to be good for your wallet, but they're very bad for mine. Shopping is a truly amazing pastime and I can't resist sales.
Things I can't stand include sexism, racism, condescending people, closed-mindedness, laziness, and apathy when others suffer. I'm very open-minded, but not towards closed-minded people. xd
