Inuyasha
The offspring of a demon father and human mother, Inuyasha was bound to a tree by a magical arrow from Kikyo’s bow while attempting to capture the Jewel of the Four Souls. Ill-tempered, powerful, unpredictable, and courageous, he seeks the jewel in order to transform himself into a complete demon. His powers get a major boost when he possesses the Tetsusaiga sword that once belonged to his father.

Kagome
This seemingly normal junior high-school girl is actually the reincarnation of priestess Kikyo, and has inherited her mystic abilities, including being able to see Shikon Jewel shards, even those hidden within a demon’s body. Teamed with Inuyasha, Kagome must find the Shikon Jewel shards that are scattered across the land … but will her half-demon partner prove to be her undoing--or her true love?

Shippo
An orphaned young fox-demon with the ability to shape-shift, Shippo enjoys goading Inuyasha and using his talents to play tricks. After Inuyasha helps him defeat the Thunder Brothers, who murdered his father, he becomes a valuable ally.

Miroku
A traveling priest with an eye for the ladies, Miroku has been cursed with a mystical “wind tunnel” in his hand that is fated to kill him one day. However, this doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the fullest, and asking, "Would you consider bearing my children?" to any beautiful woman he meets.

Sango
A resident of the village where the Shikon Jewel was born, this fierce demon hunter’s weapon is the Hiraikotsu, a large boomerang-like weapon made from the bones of a vanquished demon. She and her companion Kirara join Kagome and Inuyasha to hunt the biggest demon of them all—Naraku.

Kirara
Cherished by Sango, Kirara is a two-tailed demon that ordinarily takes the form of a cat.

Myoga
A flea-demon and Inuyasha’s servant, his bloodsucking seems to have the ability to weaken certain spells. He also has an uncanny ability to sense danger--and is usually the first one to run away from a battle.

Sesshomaru
Inuyasha’s half-brother is a pure-blood demon who covets the Tetsusaiga sword left to Inuyasha by their father. Looking down on his “half-breed” brother, he has sworn to kill Inuyasha one day…

Jaken
Jaken is the demon-pawn of Sesshomaru, and shows undying loyalty to his master--even when he is getting trampled by him! He uses a wand with a human head on top.

Rin
Rin is the orphan girl who tried to save Sesshomaru after he was wounded in a battle against Inuyasha. Once eaten and killed by a demon wolf with steel fangs, she is brought back to life by the power of Sesshomaru's Tenseiga sword. She now accompanies Sesshomaru wherever he goes.

Naraku Group

Naraku
Enormously powerful and dangerous, the enigmatic demon-mastermind is determined to get his hands on the Shikon Jewel--and isn’t afraid to take out everyone in his path. He is responsible for Miroku’s curse, and for turning Inuyasha and Kikyo against each other.

Kagura
A demon created from a portion of Naraku's body, Kagura can command the wind freely with the magical fan she holds. However, she is keen on escaping Naraku's control--even if it means destroying him.

Kanna
A demon created by Naraku, Kanna is Kagura's sister. She possesses a mirror that can absorb the spirit of an opponent when their image is reflected in the mirror. She can reflect any attack back at her opponent.

Kikyo
This powerful priestess and original protector or the Shikon Jewel was tricked into imprisoning her lover Inuyasha before dying. Or is she really dead after all…?

Koga
The leader of a wolf-demon tribe has tremendous speed, thanks to the Shikon Jewel shards implanted in his legs. He also has a thing for Kagome, and shares Inuyasha’s lightning-quick temper.

Kohaku
Sango's younger brother, Kohaku falls victim to Naraku's trap and nearly loses his life. Revived by the magical fragments from the Jewel, he is currently controlled by Naraku and has lost his memory.

Japanese high-school student Kagome isn't the type to believe in myths and legends, but her world view dramatically changes when she's pulled out of her own time and into another! There, in Japan's ancient past, Kagome discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and that her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular--the dog-like half-demon called Inuyasha!
