The time I'm specifically thinking of though, it wasn't because anyone was really forcing me, but because I didn't want to have to redo the whole unit, and pay the $1000 for it again

There have even been times I've had to go to school after violent vomiting fits, though that was because of important assessment tasks that can't be resat.
