Hi, my name is Melanie. I like Animé, videogames, and drawing. Let's see, what else is there to say about me... I have low self esteem, I'm really shy irl, but not on the internet for some reason. I have too many characters based on me to compesate for the low self esteem. sweatdrop
In terms of clothing and style, you could call me a Goth. But not in the terms of stereotype lol I don't like arrogant people, people who walk over others, and most people with a God Complex. Well, unless it's a game character. Then it's okay.
My dream is to start up my own game designing company one day, because I believe women in both videogames and the real world deserve better. Don't get me wrong; a sexy game character is okay, guys need something to look at too, but don't make her into a whore. I mean, all the girls with the cool weapons are total sluts in my opinion(Bayonetta, Bloodrayne, etc.). And if they cover up, girls in videogames are doomed to a stupid staff and magic... stare There are many girl gamers out there too, but the 'real' girl games are now limited to fashion games or Barbie. We deserve better, girls! I was told I had talent at drawing, and original ideas. That's why I started a study to design videogames, as one of three girls in my class. Because girls deserve to look at hot guys too. Because girls deserve a good game too, one that's not necessarily made for men. It's about time more characters like, for example, Samus Aran were made. I mean, futuristic shotguns, aliens, and a female hero amongst it all. Guy gamers shouldn't entirely be forgotten, but a little more choice for the ladies is in order. We need more girls in the gaming industry! Well, I guess you can call me a feminist after all this ranting about equal rights, but I'm no sexist.
I'm good at English, Dutch of course, but I srsly suck at math... When talking about weight and length, I tend to talk in kilos and metres/centimetres, because calculating what it would be in foreign measures would take me hours X_X And I'm a bit of a perv That's all. ninja
