She's a beautiful dilute calico, and she has a personality that's larger than the universe. She has been with me for over 8 years, she's my baby girl and the love and passion of my life. She's been my only constant in my life besides a few real good friends of mine, and she's been my support and reason for waking up in the morning for the past year.

I don't care where she's been in life, or what monsters haunt her.
When I look in her eyes, I see her, not what she comes from or what people think of her.
That doesn't matter to me, neither should it, because the fact of life is that I come from a personal hell too, and I have monsters clawing at my back every time I take a step forward.
I may not be the best of people, I do and say things that I shouldn't, and sometimes my thoughts are not the nicest.
I don't want to be her knight, and I do want to protect her and take her from her prison.
My princess may not be seen as the prettiest, or the smartest, but she's mine, and to me, she is the best.
She fights my monsters as much as I would fight hers, and I don't have to be the forever hero.
I can be strong, but with her I can let my guard down.
With her, I don't have to worry about what will happen if I'm away.
With her, it's safe to fall.
